Didn't the Ouya people get like 4 million dollars or something crazy like that?
They only needed $950,000 before 8/9/2012. But I think they continue to get donations because if I'm not being lied to about this....

Those who back them with $99 or more would get an Ouya.

Land Before Time? And that movie had a ton of shitty sequels too!
Bingo!

I wouldn't know about the shitty sequels though, since I only ever watched the first movie because the sequels seemed so shitty...
There are fourteen straight to video DVDs, none of which Don Bluth had any input on. And fifty percent more bad musical numbers.
Well, to be honest, it's not like Don Bluth has really done anything that good since... well, The Land Before Time.
Titan A.E was decent. A little uneven, but I really liked it.
Hmmmeh, it could've a fun space adventure movie, but it got pretty contrived at the middle with the Han Solo character suddenly being bad and then being good again at the end. It also felt a bit too geared toward teenagers instead of doing it's own thing. And it was made in a time where every traditional animated movie had to have as much unnecessary CGI shoved into it as possible.

I would've been much happier with like a Space Ace-type movie.

The Ice Age sequels may not be as bad as the last two Shrek films, but at this point I feel obligated to hate them on principle because of 20th Century Fox's apparent refusal to let Blue Sky do anything else. They literally outnumber the studio's other films two to one. At least DreamWorks makes films that aren't part of the Shrek series (even if their last three films in a row have been sequels or spinoffs).

More like a hundred percent more, seeing how the original had none at all.

Even though the name Ouya keeps popping up everywhere I somehow remained completely unaware of it's existence. The rock under which I live is pretty solid.
Thanks for the heads-up!

I loved the first Ice Age movie. The sequel I felt was just merely okay. Didn't see the third movie due to lack of interest, and I probably won't be seeing this movie.

I know right? They even released two movies within the same year! And don't get me started on the animated series...

A couple of the early sequels were ok, but yeah, that series went on WAAAAAY too long.

I liked the way those two guys from The Cinema Snob put it, which basically summed up to; "F**k you Rotten Tomatoes, this is the worst movie I've seen since Mr Popper's Penguins."

OT:
This is about what I was expecting from an Ice Age sequel. Oh well. Might go see Abraham Lincoln killing vampires instead, if it's still on.

Agree with this completely. Light hearted film that is entertaining albeit forgettable.

And I too laughed at the dig at the previous film.

your description reminds me of the Land Before Time. You know, the story of Littlefoot and all the other lost dinosaur hatchlings (Petri, Spike, Ducky, and Cera) he meets while trying to find his way to the great valley after his mother was killed by a Sharptooth (T-Rex.) It was also a great movie about tolerance, non-traditional families, and a sense of trying to find family in the face of an apocalypse...THEN they made a bunch of stupid sequels. At least the Ice Age movies didn't have some of history's worst insert songs like "Big Water" and "Friends for Dinner."

$4.6 million. They should do a charity. Do they really need all that money?
