Well, that's a lot more than I thought the movie would be about. I'm impressed.

Also, Bob don't show that mascot at the end! You'll scare Yahtzee!

Hey Bob, Bob
didn't something else come out today that a lot more people would be interested in hearing about, or were you afraid of coming off with too much of nerdgasm?

I had been wondering why we got a review for a movie that was released last week ... then I looked up what is coming out this week and now I completely understand.
It's not coming out until next week?

OT: I didn't realize Brad Pitt was in this movie. Then, I haven't really heard or seen much about it at all. Looks like it could be entertaining but not very memorable, so I doubt I'll end up watching it though.
Actually the reason is because he was delayed in getting to the screening of it due to some unforeseen issues and missed the opening of it. He has said he will give it a proper review when he sees the movie in it's entirety.

Great actors in this film, and some great performances. But some scenes were really uncomfortable especially while in the cinema with my dad...

Wow, that accent kept throwing me off...

I hated the film to be frank. I mean I see where Bobs coming from with it's sort of the point that nothing seems to be getting anywhere and it portrays crime as banal... but that just came across as it being a boring film to me.

Maybe I just don't "get" it.

Tell me about it. Me and my dad watched this instead of Dredd because it seemed like something we'd both be more into. How wrong we were...

AND ANOTHER THING... I watched this back in like september, isn't it a bit late to be reviewing it or is this just filler?

Half the cinema was empty before half the movie was over. If pointless banter is your thing, go for it. For me, this was the worst movie of the year by a landslide. And I normally love slow, brooding movies.
The banter wasn't just pointless, it was unnecessarily vulgar. The few other people in the cinema I was in were all OAPs as well. Imagine the shock they got when every other word is a swear word.
I can agree that this was bad, I will never watch this film again.

I actually went to this one and I gotta say, bob is really playing down the political drama in this film. It was so prominent that I was the only one of my friends who didn't wind up angry. I came out of the theater laughing my ass off because of how clever the whole setup was. while my friends were all grumbling about how they had to see more political stuff after the election.

The only "major" releases this week are a romantic comedy that has around a 0% rating on rotten tomatoes and the latest "gritty" cop movie; neither of which are expected to land anywhere near the top of this weekend's box office.

Next week there is basically only one movie on the release schedule and if he didn't review it(not that anyone already interested in it wouldn't be seeing it anyway and no say positive or negative from Bob will have any notable influence); it would be a massive surprise.

Sorry, I misread your post, actually. D: I know what you mean now, and agree.

Keep the Boston accent flying, man. I dig why you drop it but as an ex-pat Yankee (Maine) it always puts a smile in my heart to hear it.

English is not my first language, so when I first noted the accent I was all "why is he making those weird noises?".

But now I know how the Boston accent sounds like, one more for the bag of weird american accents!

Huh.

When I saw the poster for this, I assumed it was about a bearded Brad Pitt teaming up with Feminists to go and kill a bunch of advertisers...

By the way, I love it when Bob brings out his sexy accent.

Can't wait for the Star Trek review! I mean, all the new teaser trailer had were EXPLOSIONS and WOMEN SCREAMING and EXPLOSIONS and PEOPLE JUMPING and EXPLOSIONS and SHERLOCK HOLMES THREATENING VENGEANCE and EXPLOSIONS. And some more EXPLOSIONS. So I know his review will be entertaining. :D

I was initially going to see this, but hearing such bad stuff about it, I'll probably wait for a rental. Not that I wouldn't necessarily like it, but the people I tend to see movies with don't have the same tastes that I have. Taking them to see Drive, for example, was a huge mistake.

Regarding the new Star Trek, Bob, you could write an entire article on crappy movie posters. In fact, you probably already have and I'm just forgetting it. I'm just excited that they've got Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain, he's going to be 90% of the reason why I see that movie.

Yeah yeah, we should be commenting on the movie and/or how it meshes with today's pop-culture... but I am throwing my hat in with the I-like-Bob's-accent crowd :)
