That's a shame. I mean, it looked really stupid but I was hoping I was wrong. As much as Jesse annoyed the crap out of me in Breaking Bad, it makes me sad to see that his first role since that show ended, was total garbage

To be fair, if this is EA's first film and it was just "Boring" not bad or good, then i have to congratulate them, like, seriously, good one EA, Bravo.

If they started out like this, it can only get better...right? Or am i just kidding myself? xD

After Robocop and now this it really makes me wonder if Keaton is actively pursuing next year's Razzie for Worst Supporting Actor.

If EA is making films, then next time, you'll have to pre-order your ticket for the next film before it has been started and then pay more for such extra scenes as the ending.
I'm shocked it took 5 posts for someone to make this joke.

Don't get me wrong, it made me smile. I just can't believe it wasn't post number one under the starter. :)

Also, can someone catch me up on the Mario/Yoshi thing from the credits?
I was actually surprised that I was the first one to post that.

And with the Yoshi one, I think it's that in the original Yoshi's island, the stork was attacked, while the new one changes it to the stork going to the wrong house. However, I'm not 100% sure.

"Racing Sim", yeah right, just like Call of Duty being a "Military Sim".

Well... I can't belive I'll say this, but... I prefer Fast & Furious #20.

I expect the theatres to start selling season passes.

WTF was that torque clip, it was so retarded I was left wanting more.
I love that it was also set to Static-X's Push It.
More action scenes should be set to music like this.

I can only imagine how much more awesome the Pacific Rim trailer would have been if they set it to Pitchshifter's Virus.

Funniest video yet, Bob! Now you made me want Kevin Smith to write an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I think he'd do good.
And if you meant what you said, I whole heartedly agree: the Crank movies are fucking awesome.

What DOES that stork-yoshi's island thing mean, bob? ?_?

The only thing I can think of is the stork going "OH CRAP I was supposed to deliver them to New york instead of the mushroom kingdom!", which honestly doesn't do anything for me, really.

As for that Flash costume....Meh.

They'd need to nail the hell out of his devil may care, fun personality for me to care. THAT'S why I like the Flash.

I'm seeing a lot of shit for the new Flash costume based on some bad paparazzi pictures taken on set, and I don't get it honestly. These costumes never look great until they're in the finished product (Lest we forget Captain America looking ready for trick or treating instead of fighting), and even then the suit doesn't look bad.

I guess the CW hate casts a wide net? I hated Arrow for a while too, but it genuinely did get much better, and Flash looks to continue that trend of sampling the comics more than teenaged melodrama.
Yeah I'm not sure if much like Arrow has been that Flash is being fairly criticized here. Seems like with the success of super hero movies these days people look at these two and expect them to fall somewhere between the Marvel-verse or the Nolan-verse. But The CW started with Smallville well before either of these and that lasted like 8 seasons, creating their own little niche on the market. Is there really anything wrong if they just stick to doing what they already know? I mean they're not really hurting anything here, and the shows are doing well within their own sphere of influence.

In my country they already do that. Not cinemas but real stage theaters. You can pay a subscription and then get the theater tickets for a lower price. It's a really good deal if you're into theater and cabaret.

Anyone else now wanna see Kevin Smith do an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

OT: Aaron Paul was interviewed on Top Gear (star in a reasonably priced car) and confirmed all the car stunts are done practically.

Ya, I can see Aaron Paul being pretty one-dimensional. He was great in Breaking Bad because the role fit him so well. Asking him to do the same thing in something different is silly. Though, it was good marketing to get him in the movie because Breaking Bad isn't that old and fans of the show will go watch the movie for him.

All I saw from Need for Speed was a Fast and Furious clone, but lacking the charisma. The F&F franchise is incredibly fun to watch because it's stupid, over-the-top, and doesn't take itself seriously.

I dunno if it's really a rip off of the Fast and Furious as much as it's a rip off of previous Need For Speed plotlines.

That said they should have just ripped the Most Wanted plot and gone with gratuitous sexual content bordering on the emasculation of their entire audience. Have Josie Maran bending over a bunch of cars, an interracial cop duo (it was african american and asian), various factions... meh who am I kidding, I wish this was a Fast and Furious rip off as opposed to a NFS plotline rip. Like pulling a bank vault like a wreckingball... how do you top that? XD

They should have gone straight up ridiculous or if they wanted a straight plotline, to go with something even marginally original.

But... it's EA, this isn't the last we've seen of them :(

EA's first foray into film adaptations was based on a game that was already plotless enough to be turned into just about any kind of movie -- like, if The Fast and the Furious didn't already exist then they literally could have even made it into that very film -- and they crapped out this mess. You can't even blame the inherent unadaptability of the source material this time; it's basically the Battleship scenario all over again.

Also, this was entirely produced and distributed by EA themselves? That's a first. Usually these things are licensed out or at the very least distributed by some established company like Paramount. Still, if anyone had the capital to back that up it'd be pretty much any halfway mainstream video game publisher on earth. Hell, most AAA games nowadays have what, ten times the budget of a typical Hollywood film or something like that?
