I'll admit that I'm guilty of actually going out of my way to avoid any film labeled as "camp". The reason why is because every single "camp" film I've ever seen was complete and utter shit (300, Chicago, etc), so for the longest time it's been deeply ingrained into me that the label "camp" is just a pretty way of saying "shit".
Then again, I'm not one of those people who goes out of their way to watch really bad movies for entertainment like a lot of those internet reviewers do; Spoony and everyone on the TGWTG crew. Maybe I'm a snob at heart, but I really can't find enjoyment in that kind of garbage. The only "bad" films I've ever enjoyed watching are the ones that are considered "cult classics" like Rocky Horror's Picture Show, The 5th Element or Beaches.
I kinda get screwed with this a lot, unfortunately: my group of friends are the type who go out of their way to shovel crappy movies in my face. I've recently had to suffer through trash such as Asylum, After, Stan Hellsing, Vampires Suck and Suicide Girls Must Die thanks to them.
Having said that, I do find that the Twilight films are very enjoyable if you pretend that you're watching a comedy. I'm not trying to be a dick here, go out there and try it for yourself. Eclipse by itself is comedy fucking gold.
