Just returned from my viewing of the movie..

..And holy fuck, did it hit emotional strings for me. Especially the first 20 or so minutes of the film. While the characters might have been somewhat stockier than I would have liked, the situation they are in was very much a real and disturbing environment to want to watch. Now, if only I could make up such fantasies with such vivid detail by simply closing my eyes and concentrating..

Anyways, just my perspective on it. Ignore, agree or disagree, but I don't intend to respond further to this thread in any case.

I saw watchmen, well the first half of it and it was horrible. And you liked it?
If it may help your decision, I hate watchmen too. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Still, I think Sucker Punch is nice. So, if like, that was one of yours concerns, go for it. Just don't expect the best movie ever made and probably you'll enjoy it better.

I wonder what "fleshed out, fully realized" really means to Bob. To "Team Hell No", being fully realized seems to mean something more than what's here. I haven't seen this, but I still don't know whether or not to see it.

I saw it, it was better than some movies I have seen this year, but not amazing. I would still recommend seeing it at this movie has some of the best visuals and cinematography I have ever seen.

I cannot take Moviebobs analysis of femininity or ?feminism' seriously. After his laughable attempt to easel bayonetta as some sort of revolutionary, I always squint my eyes so I am not forced to roll them ad nauseum whenever he misapplies critical analysis.

Honestly, just stop it. The squinting is giving me a permanent scowl.
Yet, a panel of Female Gamers did agree with various of Moviebob's points on the matter of Bayonetta. If this movie is supposed to be about girl power, good for them.

Although these 'lunatics' think otherwise, I will make my own opinion of the subject after watching the movie.

I've been looking forward to this movie since it was announced back at Comic Con and left the theater pleased. Speaking of which....does anybody know the name of the song that plays during the train sequence?

Saw it tonite and it was fantastic. Sound track was amazing and the visuals were fantastic. Plus the fact their are steam-punk nazi zombies, giant demon ninja, and a fucking Dragon... needless to say i needed to change my pants after the movie was over due to multiple nerdgasms.

I agree with this review wholeheartedly. I was completely moved by the movie, and sympathized with the overall premise. I like to consider myself verging on mentally insane, and the whole idea of going to "a happy place" throughout the whole movie is outstanding.

My friends and I, of course, discussed the pros and cons of the movie when it was over. The general consensus between them seemed to be "The movie's trying to be a feminist movement because all the men are evil and all the women are superheroes", which got a deep sigh out of me. And one of my friends in particular didn't like the movie solely on the fact that it had a story and he was expecting it to be 100% action.

I didn't have much say in the conversation because I usually don't even open my mouth during open arguments between them, but I did mention how much I really enjoyed it.

And to hear a completely opposite opinion piece on Sucker Punch which is so entertaining, Sucker Punch goes beyond awful, to become commentary on the death of moviemaking [http://io9.com/#!5785590/sucker-punch-goes-beyond-awful-to-become-commentary-on-the-death-of-moviemaking].

Critics are saying it aweful eh. But you know what else is grim and saddening? Sparkly Vampires. You know what else has a female lead? Twilight. You know what else has supposedly amazing action scenes? Eclipse.

No I'm not saying SuckerPunch and Twilight are the same thing. I'm saying Samurai or Sparkly Vampire...ok 3 2 1 go!

On a side note I probably won't get around to seeing this not because the reviews but because I just don't feel like seeing it in theaters.

They way the reviewer phrased that particular part, especially the "dudes are the villains", made me wonder what kind of movies he normally watches??

Oh so a bunch of girl gamers agreed so that MUST make it true[end sarcasm]. That is a ridiculous sentiment.

Make your own opinons on the subject matter if you want, I support you on that. I saw this film, to me it was garbage, shiny, nerd-masturbation material that I felt was more insulting to my intelligence.

the sound track is on itunes. I saw the movie on Thursday but can't think of the song in my head. It may be on there. Check out the previews of the songs.
