So...did everyone yelling at bob miss the part where he said it was good? It feel like people here are doing the exact same thing they judge reviewers for doing: focusing too much on the negative things.

This review could be summarised as "IT'S NOT BY DISNEY IT'S FUCKING SHIT! FOX GIVE BACK X-MEN YOU CUNTS, DISNEY FOREVER"
Did Bob steal your lunch money or something? I'm not sure what's bringing on this impulsive need to just ramp yourself up to 11 and lash out in every thread for his work...

Anyway...It sounds like another solid B+ of a flick prior to the big Summer onslaught.
This is why. You're getting a preconceived notion that this is a "eh, it's okayyyy" flick without even seeing it.
<url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pfS5wjc2LA#t=154>For god's sake, come to your own conclusions.
And this I never got. If you already have a conclusion, why watch/read reviews? Maybe I'm missing somethig, but I always thought that these kind of reviews were for people who are on the fence about things and want a second opinion. Also, B+ is good, why the hell are you offended that he said that?

After a few times of watching it again, I gotta say I like it more and more. It provides a fresh start and a solid reason as to why Apocalypse will be the next big bad, hope we will get more Quicksilver next time around.

Not only that, the reason for all the inconsistencies in the franchise can be explained, in my book at least, through Kitty's ability. She may have been saving the group this whole time but every time she time jumped someone, ripples in reality were created that back in time manifested as inconsistencies, like Trask turning from a big black man to a small white man and Xavier dying in X3 etc.

It may not be the best explanation but it's one I have come to like and I freakin love the series more for these movies, X1, 2, First Class and DOFP, cannot wait for Apocalypse.

We could really use Gambit in the next movie, please !

Here's a question, to anyone who reads this: can anyone truly say- I mean, truly say Thor 2 is better than this? Or Amazing Spider-Man 2? Or Iron Man 3? Oh, and I don't mean this as the "'It's good because it's better than these' distraction from the movie's objective merits" argument, because the movie does have objective merit: awesome premise, excellent performances from all involved (Hey Bob! Did you think Dash from The Incredibles was annoying, too? Because this is the closest we're going to get to a live-action performance of him), music/special effects were great, and the plot, as much of a field day CinemaSins is going to have with it, was still immensely enjoyable.
Not TASM2 but I'd put Thor2 and IM3 above this, hell yeah. And there's a reason Dash wasn't annoying. Because he had enough screen time devoted to him to explain WHY he was acting the way he was. Quicksilver by comparison comes in, does his brief stuff and then gets the hell out. We don't get to know him. He's a gimmick character who's largely there only to punch up the movie. He's barely a character in the truest sense of the word at all. Dash actually WAS a character.
