As Samantha pushed open the doors to the dining room, she spotted Sky sitting with his friends and, as usual, her heart fluttered at the sight of him. Standing stock-still, completely in the way of anyone hoping to pass through the doors, Samantha stared at Sky and, as she did so, something dawned on her; though, in the past few days, she'd jumped on him, defended him from evil and stalked him an awful lot from a safe distance, Samantha hadn't actually properly spoken to Sky once.
Samantha started making her way towards the table where Sky and his friends were sat, then trailed off slowly as she realized what a lion's den she could be walking into; aside from the fact that the kind-of-good-looking-if-you're-into-that-sort-of-thing-one would probably be too fixated on his mirrors to do horrible boy things, Sam didn't actually know anything about these young men. What if they were the sorts who'd poke fun at her, or try and steal her undergarments, or do otherwise unpleasant things to her upon realizing that a fragile, delicate young woman had entered their midst?
Samantha dispelled these thoughts as quickly as they had come; if these were the kind of lads that Sky would willingly consort with, they must be pleasant-mannered valiant sorts. Noble Sky would never willingly associate himself with malevolent, brutish louts! Of course not! Why, so much the thought of him ever doing so was almost blasphemous!
Quelling her phobias, Samantha sat down upon the bench next to Adam, sitting diagonally across from Sky. "Hello, gentlemen!" she said. "I do hope you don't mind me sitting here; I'm afraid it was simply the first place I came across... I mean, I wasn't, like, stalking you or anything... Not that there's anything wrong with you of course! I mean, there's no reason a pretty young dame wouldn't want to stalk any of you or anything..." Oh, god, now I've made him upset! "In fact, to be perfectly honest, I bet each of you has five or six stalkers! You'd best watch your backs, or they might drag you away in the dead of night and do unspeakable things to you!" Oh, god, now I'm talking like a lunatic!
"Anyway!" Samantha cried, swiftly changing the topic so fast a few of the other diners received whiplash. "How's your day been, Sky?!"
