Sounds like it was fun, damn I wish I could have gone but alas I could not ever convince my parents to fly me from ipswich to sydney to hang out with some people I met on the internet. If someone organises a brisbane escapism then I might be able to go, though it would take a year of logical arguments and begging to get my parents to allow me to hang out with people I met on the internet.

There's always the possibility, you know.

My parents had a similar issue, but I eventually talked them into doing so much as driving me up, which was pretty awesome.

And in the case of Inverse Skies, who flew here from Melbourne-ish, there's that possibility as well.

I could take a $1600 awesome train trip from Adelaide to Sydney, it would be epic. Or a $300 plane ticket, however I would end up flying with Quantas or Jetstar...I don't trust them.

Well, I would recommend Virgin Blue for the shorter (2 hours?) trips. Better than Jetstar, and you won't have enough time to get everything you can out of Qantas.
