Okay Sydneyers! I have discovered something quite awesome.. Laser Tag in Parammatta! What say you?

Btw, I looked it up, The age limit is from 8 upwards. So none of us shall be excluded!

Here's the link: http://www.coderedlaser.com.au/
Sweet. My few points are these.

Transport: After we meet at Central (If we meet there..) how do we get to this place?
Second: Are we going to be at this all day? I can see it growing thin.
Third: We need to book numbers for this. RSPV is important people.

first: A few of us drive there and we carpool.
second: I dont think we should do it all day.. Maybe do something in the morning-ish and have the laser tag book for late afternoon-ish
third: You are very correct!

On that note, who has a car and is willing to drive? Who is willing to be driven? Who's turning up?

Wait! Cars may not be necessary! In my awesome-ness I have discovered there is a train station basically right next to where we're supposed to be going.. I shall do some more digging and get back to you when I know more.

After playing with 'bolt action' lazer rifles shaped to look like Bolters out of 40K, i can love no other Lazer tag experience. There was ammunition, resupply areas and re-spawn zones for when you were out of hitpoints. Area bonuses to attack or defence, and tactics abounded or you were cut down.

Best lazer tag i have ever played, it cannot be topped. Besides, i would need to take off my Ultrahelm.

LARP works, because then i can wear the Ultrahelm the entire day and ifuriate Labyrinth even further by bieng within 3 feet and still not revealing my face.

A bit more and i think i can get her brain to explode.

I'll see if i'm free then. Don't count me in or out.
Same thing, but I'm not so sure about LARP. Really, what am I supposed to go as?

I really hope I can come this time; last time was a parent-induced case of not being anywhere near Sydney.

I'm sure you'd survive. Besides, if we do it in the afternoon, you could just leave beforehand if it is such an affront to your identity.

The LARP is just a bit of fun on the side. Hey Joe won't be if he comes.

Ok, here's the deal. To get there we'd have to catch a train from Central to Strathfield, Strathfield to Clyde and then from Clyde to Rosehill.... It seems a tad time consuming.. So.. I shall leave it up to you, my fellow Escapists!

I need to get a BeamMorningStar. This will be epic.

Seriously, just imagine a bunch of LARPers playing laser tag. How awesome can it get?

Barring crippling injury or debilitating illness, I will be there.

Be warned. The Carlingford Line has hourly trains. Yes, hourly. Every thirty minutes at peak hours.
I would recommend looking at using buses, they may be much quicker depending on timing. If your travel coincides with the Carlo trains, then all will go well (just don't miss it). If not, buses would likely be the way to go. A combination of buses and trains would work just fine, as well.

Shame really, but when the flight alone to either places is just under a grand, I think i shall have to give it a miss. Would be nice to have one in the UK for us Brits. Anyone interested in that?

More importantly, how many Brits exist on these forums?

Why must you make this so complicated O.O

I give up! It's too confuzzling for me.. If someone could figure out bus time tables it would be appreciated, I'm at a loss.

I will tell you this once, with absolute seriousness.

They are EVERYWHERE.

I'm merely pointing out that the Carlingford Line (which is a dead-end, one-track line that I have the misfortune to have to use) is not, under any circumstances, to be trusted.
For anyone wishing to rely on Public Transport (probably most of us), I would advise that you use Cityrail's Trip Planner [http://www.131500.info/realtime/newJourney.asp?FromSuburb=&ToSuburb=&Date=28%2F1%2F2009&HH=08&MM=45&AM_PM=PM&Time=08%3A45PM&Vehicle=Train]. Input your starting point, destination, which modes of travel you deem acceptable, what time you need to arrive there and away you go. It even lets you factor in how quickly you walk (to a degree).

I should also point out that, if all goes well, getting from Central to Rosehill by train (assuming you don't wait too long) is doable in perhaps 45 minutes. Maybe more, maybe less. I lose count of exactly how many minutes I spend waiting at the stations. Just remember that missing a train can easily double your travel time if you're unlucky.
