Obviously I want this to do well as I'm a bloody participant.

I've now been designated the intro guy for the improperly named second podcast (shitcast, failcast, Britcast, wtfbananas...)

Well we're not quite sure what you are yet, so I think it's quite fitting

It's something me and the other shitcast regulars have talked about.

Skype and timed Audacity recordings.

It actually comes together really well.

That is when you don't have catastrophic technical difficulties like we had last night. ¬_¬

Like Binnsy said, but for the main one we used Ventrilo.

The main thing is Audacity, which records the sessions for each individual so it's much easier to edit.

Interesting; well I was impressed by the quality.

I have to record training sessions I conduct online at work with different our offices around the world and we use GotoMeeting and that thing crashes quite a bit.

I had a job training space peanuts when I was a lad. Pay was shit but I got all the free raincoats I could eat.

I just think that it needs more conversation material.

I'm also with the idea you guys suggested about doing Community Spotlight type-things with forum guest stars. That would be neat.

Shit cast could really be a big deal if you put a kind of wonderful music to introduce the podcast, regardless of the scattershot presentation. The Communicast felt official when you put in that lovely tune before you started talking.

As for the Communicast... I like it, but I don't think I contribute enough to the Escapist to really get any sort of involvement to it.

My topics of life never go much farther than:

-Earthbound
-The Electric Light Orchestra
-Some movie I took some time to sit and watch and talk about.
-Movie news
-Singing
-Acting
-Maybe some game that looks cool that I haven't played yet.
-Maybe some game that I've played and want to talk about but its too old to discuss.

and maybe a random hot button topic.

I suppose, you could treat it as the video game/movie/music thread. It would be like the off-topic discussion thread, but with voices.

Maybe grab a random news story and talk about it, collect some ideas from everybody before recording, so you know what to talk about during the podcast.

I would recommend reading random posts from whatever you refresh from the Escapist community, maybe you'll say something funny in the process.

Kind of dry on topics. I only listen to Destructoid's old podcasts, and every Idea I have is from their podcasts, so I'm not much help.

If you post a link to the youtube account that will have these podcasts, I'll favorite them, and try to listen to them with regularity.
