Raising Geek Kids with Wired's GeekDad and GeekMom

Audio Only. Gaming and geek culture may have started with humble roots, but it?s rapidly ballooned into a multibillion dollar industry that rivals even Hollywood film. It?s only natural that over the years many of these enthusiasts have found love and started families of their own. Geek parents have a unique opportunity to share their passions with their children and relate to the next generation of gamers. Michael Harrison and Natania Barron are both contributors to Wired.com?s GeekDad and GeekMom, and will impart the trials and tribulations of raising a tiny geek girl or boy.

All I know is that whatever you push on your kids they're likely to rebel against to try to differentiate themselves. Push too much geek stuff on them and they'll be... outside playing... the footsball or something.

Thanks for this. I'll try and remember some of these things when I get my nieces and nephews more into games. They already have an interest in them so I guess the next step is to just bring them up to the next levels of involvement when they want to.

Again, thanks for this.
