How much do you care about badges?
Which of your badges is your favorite?
Which badge that you don't have yet do you want the most?
Is there some badge you have that you couldn't care less about?
Is there some badge that's unavailabe to you forever that you really would have liked to have?

Edit: Just to clear one thing up, the third question refers to badges you still have the opportunity to get, like the Beat Him at His Own Game badge which you get for acing a quiz, while the fifth question refers to badges you'll never be able to get, like the Christmas 2009 badges.

When I started with the escapist I really wanted badges, they were like Crack, I just wanted more and more..and eventually, I went to the doc, got some help...and I've been clean for 3 months next Monday.

How much do you care about badges? Honestly, I do not really care much for the Badges. Sure, I'll give them credit they add a bit of uniqueness to a person on the forum and I rather enjoy that. Looking as most forums are just the avatar and name, but this place really lets you express yourself with choice of name, avatar, title (if premium member), and even a little badges to show off to people.

Which of your badges is your favorite? Pony Badge. I mean, it's just epic! Used to be Neo, but since user groups use a post count everyone and their grandma has it. Two years back there was as many posters that had that badge in the history of the site, and still had enough fingers to count more with on your hand! *Grumpy old poster effect*

Which badge that you don't have yet do you want the most? Forum Inferno, getting a thread with 100,000 views? That is an achievement that definitely deserves a badge in its' own right.

Is there some badge you have that you couldn't care less about? All the movie badges. Seriously, shoo!

Is there some badge that's unavailabe to you forever that you really would have liked to have? I knew the moment I got the Paragon badge from the Fable 2 event that I would regret it since I saw how awesome the Evil badge looked like. Give me my demon badge, you!

I care about them a bit. They're good indicator of what a person is like, some of their interests, etc.

Beard Badge is easily my favourite.

I want the Thanks badge, but there isn't a great deal I can do for the community that might lead to it

The video ones, too easy to get so I don't care so much that I have some.

I do not care for the Matrix badges. Anybody can go into Forum Games, bust out a stream of posts until 5000 and get the badge.

They were pretty interesting to me at first, since previous forums I've been on had some kind of point system instead.

My favourite badge right now is probably the level-capped one I got for the WoW timeline. I like it because it's pretty, and because I didn't realise I'd get a badge just for scrolling through the whole thing. But yeah, it's pretty. Such a lovely shade of blue. Actually, my current arrangement of four is based on the fact that they're all of a similar colour scheme. >.>

There's no particular badge that I really want; I'm not exactly working hard to get a particular badge either. They will come when/if they come. I guess I'd like the Neo badge at some stage, even if it's just a reassurance that I haven't screwed up too badly in any of my posts.

My favourite by far is the regular or the Star Trek one.

Well I always wanted a Neo, but alas i was a fool in early days, calling ultrajoe a dickhead.

Couldn't care about badges have to be ones for watching x amount of episodes.

Ah, but not everyone can get to 5000 without getting a suspension of some sort.

Tie between Neo and Epic Quiz. With another Epic Quiz badge on the way, however, Neo will become my sole favourite.

Forum Inferno. It's my favourite badge based on looks and you really have to earn it (or luck out impressively).

Is there some badge you have that you couldn't care less about?

I care at least a little about every badge I've earned. But the one I care least about is the Facebook badge.

Webby '09. I joined half a week after that badge was handed out to every Escapist. I don't even like the badge but I deeply regret not having it.

I would give you mine if I could. There are only about five badges I actually care about. Probably pretty obvious as I only really racked up the massive amount I have in 09 after they started giving them out for so much as clicking on a link.

I guess I'm proud of the Neo badge, but not really.

But you get to be all hip and cool and join the other Neo'ed in an exclusive usergroup where we talk constantly about all the other people without Neo behind their backs.

How did I ever get Neo in the first place?

Believe me, in Forum Games, you can piss out hundreds of posts in a day without any mod wrath. That's why you see users with join dates newer than ours that have 5 digit post counts.

Simple solution would be to turn off post counts in Forum Games, that way only posts that matter go to your count, making the badges a lot more worthwhile.

1. Not very much. They're nothing special, but I definitely used to.

1) Not too much. There a nice little feature, but I wouldn't die if they were gone.

2) Obviously my Clank one.

3) I really want to get the Neo badge. So close...

4) A lot of the video ones or genre wars ones. Especially since nobody plays genre wars any more.

5) I don't know. The pony ones perhaps? Some from the older quizzes? I'm not sure which ones there are that are unavailable.

1)I care enough about my badges to go out of my way to get them, but usually the badge has to be pretty special to warrant that.

2) Most people who have it would say the Neo Badge, but personally, I like my Lich King badge more. Why? Because there isn't a more badass character in all of Warcraft then Arthas himself.

3)Probably the Thanks badge.

4)The Pony badge. I know that it is barely ever given out and I doubt I could ever get it.
