Escapist.... I need another MMORPG!

Aion is a pretty good PvP game. They increased the level cap to 55 a while back with a free expansion, a long with increased drop rates, and more quests/PvE content. Be warned though, it's a fucking grindfest with a shitload of money sinks. It took me like 4 months to get to lv50, and I spent the majority of my time levelling killing llamas and crabs. They have some stupid trial system where someone who is playing it has to give you one, plus it only lasts 2 days and isn't a good representation of what to expect.

I'm just playing WoW and waiting for Guild Wars 2/Star Wars/TERA, like most MMO players.

City of Heroes I would highly suggest. Fun if you feel like going it solo, even better if you get in a full team, if only for the complete and utter chaos. Cant think of any others, since you stated all of the ones that I am at least slightly familiar with. Oooh! Guild Wars! Yeah, you could also play Guild Wars. That's fun. Hell, you don't even have to be around people if you don't want to, and there's optional PvP, as far as I know. BUT. There's also the option to make an already max level, but PvP only character.

Unfortunately, the PvP community in City of Heroes isn't great considered how the Devs broke it.

I'd suggest Aion Online. It's a PvPvE game.

id say this, if your unwilling to actually TRY Vin,(and from the sound of it, you haven't) Requiem is fun, bloody and not uncommon to see a head or limb roll or bounce away from the corpse fair warning, it can, in fact, be brutal, but by and large manageable (i stopped playing cause the launcher stopped working >.> had the same issue with DDO to)

RuneScape is sort of free, I don't pay for it and it advertises itself as the world's no. 1 free MMORPG, i've been playing for about a month and it's really fun.

not to be offensive, but I'm not touching Runescape with a 1000ft pole, purely made out of a million incredible hulks and iron men, which are then set on fire and have over 10,000,000 somethings of electricity shot directly through them, even this conversation is dangerously close.

Guild Wars

I don't have a lot of MMORPG experience, but this game works great as single MMO if you like not having to rely on others. It is also free from monthly payments...and inexpensive to pick up these days. That said, it is somewhat dated (coming out a year or two after WOW) with the sequel coming out as early as 2011.

I might pick myself up a copy of it, I asked my local store but I they didn't have it, I will try again. But isn't Guild Wars 2 coming out soon? Should I wait for that if it will be better.

Ok, now I don't mind that but i'd like if you told me why?

Well it has (or had) terrible graphics, I'm not into its combat system at all, I don't like the third person view, it isn't immersive (for me), it seems like it would be a hassle at later levels and it seems like a game that was made years ago for crummy computers but has been kept going. I have tried on several occasions to enjoy the game but alas, they have all ended dismally. I'm sure it is a great game to a lot of people out there and if you like it I'm happy for you, but this is something I preferably not play or have anything to do with it.

P.S. A game the advertises itself as number 1 is generally ran by thick idiots. When a game is advertising it should advertise the features that make it unique, the features other games don't currently have. If a game relies on being number 1 as an advertising technique they are clearly simple, don't care about their adverting or didn't spend enough time and effort tooo make the add presentable and eye catching.

May I recommend Final Fantasy 11? The game is a subscription-based game and comes with 30 day Free Trial. It is an outdated game but the game is being consistently updated.
