1. What genres of games do you play the most?

RPG's, I love nice and juicy stories in a game. Plus the whole leveling up thingy, also why I liked starting a new Morrowind game; it felt like I was really progressing fast. =D

2. When you go to play a game, do you follow a routine before playing? If so, is this routine consistent or just occasional? Does the routine vary depending on the genre of game being played, or is it constant for all games? Why do you think you follow this routine?

A routine? Not usually....I just sit down and play.

3. Do you have any habits that you do while playing a game, either in game or in real life? If so, why do you think you perform these habits? Are these habits genre specific, or do you find yourself doing them for all games?

If I can jump in a game, I jump.....a lot. Possibly because I find running alone too boring.

4. Are there points during gameplay where you feel especially different than you normally do while gaming? If so, when do these moments tend to occur? Can you describe the feeling(s)?

In games like LoL, when there's a battle going on I can just feel my heartrate going up and adrenaline coursing through my veins. It feels mighty, awesome and I can get really worked up in such moments. :p

5. When you play games with other people, is there a pre-game routine that is followed as a group? If so, does this routine vary depending on the genre of game being played, or is it also constant for all games?

Mostly we start by deciding what to play and then we just play. Mostly at least one of us starts preparing something to smoke/eat for the whole group.

6. Are there particular food and drink that you bring out while you game (either with friends or alone)?

Nothing particular, just what we/I feel like eating or drinking at that time or at the time we're in the supermarket.

7. Is there a particular time of year where you make it a point to sit down and play games? If you do, is there a specific game that you play?

Nope, I play games all year long. :p Usually all sorts of games.

1. What genres of games do you play the most?
JRPGs and action/adventure.

I just started a recent one, I got two rats and I normally get them out when I start playing a game and when the game gets intense or they get to be too annoying I put them back. The often get put back quicker in action/adventure games since I actually have to pay attention to them. I started the routine because I try to let them out of their cage everyday and that seems to be the best time since I'm just sitting on the couch I let them crawl over it. They normally stay on the couch if I'm there with them, but if I get up they use that chance to explore places I don't want them to go.

IRL I talk to the characters. Usually in a very tsundere way because I insult them for my lack of skill then when I finally pull it off tell them how awesome they are. In most games I never just run, I always jump/roll/dodge. I like to keep hitting the buttons.

4. Are there points during gameplay where you feel especially different than you normally do while gaming? If so, when do these moments tend to occur? Can you describe the feeling(s)?
Yup, whenever I do something awesome or when it has a really compelling story. When I do something awesome I'm always thinking "HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE WHAT I JUST DID? I AM YOUR MASTER!" Various things can cause it, such as beating an tough enemy without being hit (even more so if I had no health going into the battle), surviving by a sliver of health or just pulling off an amazing stunt that requires more button presses and timing than I thought I could do. As for the story, it's what stories do. A well written story will manipulate my emotions like it's suppose to do.

Nothing comes to mind.

6. Are there particular food and drink that you bring out while you game (either with friends or alone)?
Mountain Dew when I play with friends and Root Beer when I play with family. With my best friend we also get cookies.

7. Is there a particular time of year where you make it a point to sit down and play games? If you do, is there a specific game that you play?
Around Christmas vacation, I don't have class during summer so I have plenty of free time but during winter I'm too busy studying to play, especially since I play in binges. Christmas time is that binge where I try to get through the games I've accumulated (mostly due to sales). Also when family comes over it gives me something to do with my cousins so I can avoid some of the family drama.
