Haha this happened to me a lot in when i was in China. Its fucking hard to remember all those asian names to add them on facebook. So i usually asked: "Can you give me your full name, so i find you on fb?" Worked well, even if the already said their name often enough...

Pretty sure FB is banned in China my friend...

In fact scratch that, I know for a fact FB is banned in China.

Ask what her full name is, or middle name or something. Anything is better that nothing.

Ask her to spell her name out to ensure that you wrote it down correctly, always works for me. the assumption is that you knew the name initially and did your best attempt at writing it.

I would very charmingly say you forgot her name, and you were lost in her beauty. Sounds cliched, I know, but it's worked on me.
