There's a difference between a player who is ignorant and is nice. And a player who is ignorant and is stubborn and refuses to communicate and improve.
All explained here on Alt-Ctrl-Del -

Seven years old and still relevant.

I often try to give constructive comments to my team mates when playing. However, rarely do they listen. But it's nice when I see a Riki put a point in Smoke Cloud (at level 8) and actually scores a kill with it.

My mistake is that I assume everyone has the same amount of logic as I do. So I am surprised when I see a Riki has not got 1 point in Smoke Cloud at level 4 (it's an AoE that causes enemies to miss attacks when standing in it, but more importantly silences).

Even when there is a player who is an idiot, I try to be constructive with my negative observations.

And then if they sustain the 'noob' persona, my honour slides into the muck, dragging them down with me.

It's a fun game. Come play DotA2 everyone. I will parent you to death.

I dislike the community, and I gave both LoL and DOTA2 many many chances. But the toxicity is just too much. One does not simply own DOTA on the first try. One must play to get better and the hardcore jackass elite players who make up what seems to be the majority of the game don't make it easy for new players to experience the game.
Its not fun when you're being dissed by your whole team because you're slow at new things or god for-fucking-bid ask a question like "Any tips on how to play better?" only to get answers like "yeah, don't suck, noob." or something even more vitriolic...
constructive criticism is like common sense, a skill people should have when dealing with other humans but in reality is almost absolutely lacking.
