@s0osleepie: E. Krezd Fæn is really bad phonetics for 'a crazed fan'

I now realise that 'A. Kraz Yfan' would be better...or not trying the joke at all would be even better. :p

OT: When people use slang in group chats often enough that the developers or mods work out what it means, does that mean those words get black listed too?

@Susan Arendt: Congratulations on the promotion!

*sigh* The expo seriously sounds awesome and I wish I could go.
Hopefully next year I'll have the money to fly down there to stay for a weekend because it sounds incredibly fun.

I wish I could go. Alas, I am stuck in Connecticut.

I'd totally play in the SSFIV tournament even though I suck at it and even if there weren't arcade sticks to use there.

Great podcast guys&girls!

Like someone mentioned before,I really hope you will film some of the panels that you will make, especially the hour of love one.

As for attending,I don't live in the US so bad luck with that.

Other than that I wish everyone who will attend to have fun! :D

Id recognize Janelle, and Im not an industry person!

She doesnt know me, but I know her as the person who sent me prizes. <3
Yay!!! Thanks ;)

Being able to give away prizes to our community is my FAVORITE and the BEST part of my job! I wish I could do it all day, every day <3<3

It has been almost a year since, but how did you like the Drizzt board game and books? I only played them once with family and would love to hear what you thought about about them :D

Most welcome. :)

I cant remember if I mentioned it at the time (I planned to, but I get distracted), but since you love that part of the job so much its probably worth me telling the story anyway: I had a pretty rough year last year, with a relationship breakup, some family trouble, and a close friend having to move away. It was closing in on what looked to be a pretty sombre xmas... And out of the blue I got sent a bunch of geeky presents, that arrived at my door just days before xmas. Having something nice happen, and a bit of good luck for a change, pretty much made my month. It was more than just a nice prize.

Just wanted to share that to hopefully return some good vibes. You guys rock, imo. <3

To be honest I havent been able to get a lot of time to play the game myself - Ive played a few times and had good fun, it reminds me a bit of gathering around HeroQuest with my friends as a youngster. The figures themselves are awesome, even if I dont get to play the game - I keep looking for chances to co-opt them in for some proper RPGs (along with the D&D setting book, which has seen some good use too).

And the RA Salvatore book... I actually havent gotten around to yet. Its on my list, but as the second book in the series I had to order the first book to read first, and Ive got about 3000 pages of epic fantasy books left on my "to-read" pile fighting for attention (See? Can Movie Bob or Yahzee come on one of these pod cast once in a while? also can you cut or at least lower the volume of the music? Both me and my friends listen with a earphone and we had to turn the volume down everytime the music plays.

I found my article on griefing by the way. It was called "Dood, It's Part of the Game" [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/issues/issue_19/120-Dood-its-Part-of-the-Game].

Hey dude, you totally should read Gathering Storm and Clash of Kings first. When is Sanderson supposed to finish the Robert Jordan books soon? Memory of Light comes out in January apparently and you still have to get through Towers of Midnight.

I'm actually rereading Clash of Kings now. It's been great watching the show alongside it, but the second season took a lot of liberties that I don't think are worth it. Have you heard our podcast on it? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escapist-podcast/5938-Bonus-Game-of-Thrones-Cast-Season-2-Wrapup

Ive been reading the Malazan books (the Steven Erikson one on the pile) first, because I was even further behind in that series. The pile started off with 2 more of those that Ive already gotten through, and theres 2 more that I havent bought to add to the pile yet. And to be honest its probably my favourite of the 3 epic series (Erikson, Jordan and Martin) at the moment.

Ill get back to Wheel of Time soon, but I have a bit of a habit of rereading the whooooole series for each new book, which has been great but ended up burning me out on it for a while. I need to overturn that impulse, and remember all the stuff going on in the books.

And then on top of that theres a few other authors I want to try out as well (Patrick Rothfuss, Brandon Sanderson's non-WoT stuff, the second Lightbringer book from Brent Weeks, and more). Its a tough life being a reader...

Ah, that got me laughing. Thanks Greg.

(And because I want in on the fantasy book convo) Has anyone read the entirety of the Amber series by Roger Zelazny? I'm attempting to read it for the third time.

So true, there's always too much stuff to read. I miss commuting to work by train because it was a guaranteed hour of my day spent reading. Nowadays, the only time I get is the fifteen minutes before bed.

Hi Escapists! I really love the podcast and am glad that you fine folks take the time to have interesting and fun conversation for our entertainment, then do whatever wizardry is necessary for actually posting it on the site.

I have a recurring problem with listening to the podcast, however, and, in the off chance that it can be addressed on your end, wanted to mention it here (and maybe it's come up already or maybe absolutely no other listeners care). I tend to listen to episodes as .mp3s wearing headphones and the changes in volume often are quite dramatic (at least to my probably oversensitive ears), particularly when going from relatively calm talking to outbursts of laughter (or vice versa). As a result, I end up tinkering with the volume control and often end up turning it too low to hear the calmer conversation or so high that sudden laughter becomes shocking/unpleasant. Is it feasible, easy, and/or desirable, on your end, to somehow normalize (if that's even the right word) the volume a bit more so this whiny listener can more properly enjoy your discussions and jokes?

The podcast's free, you guys are plenty busy already, and I'm just a random a-hole on the internet, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks, regardless, for the podcasts and everything else.

Great podcast, I loved having Janelle back, she's awesome! And Monopoly rules (I used to love playing it as a kid, but everyone in the family hated it, I could never coax anyone into playing with me!! XD ).

If you think working as a vet tech (which I did in high school when I thought I wanted to be a vet), try working in a pediatric oncology ward. Worst - rotation - EVER!!!

The Expo looks sooooo exciting, I so desperately wish I could come... :( Have they invented teleportation yet? I really hope you guys will be filming or at least recording the "Hour of Love" Panel. That's the panel that seems the most awesome, but there are so many other events that look positively awesome, the laser tag, the human vs zombies, the games, the arcades, ... Argh, so frustrating not to be there!! :(
Another great podcast, guys, although I still need to adjust to Steve's departure.

Hey, awesome podcast. I wish I could listen to you guys more often. The news that you'll be recording that Panel of Love is the best thing ever.

As a sucker for cuteness, I love the talk of comparing small children with pets. For some reason, your non-gaming whatever-chatting is the most engaging and hilarious parts of the show. Like the name-calling for example. Isn't that right, Greg... um... Stupid-faceo?

Also, I gotta know what that music was in each break.
