I got a say I agree with Susan on the Daenyris point I was waiting for her to reveal that she knew the language from the the first subtittled line, and I did kind of see where her plan was going when she offered the dragon (but having not read the books I was taken aback by the scale of her plan)

I've liked Jaime's character for quite some time already actually. Coster-Waldau's face if just so trustworthy (like in Hodejegerne, any norwegians reading that might know what i'm talking about).

And i've not read the books, but i felt it was pretty obvious Daenerys knew what that guy was saying. And really when she said she would give away one of her dragons i was just like "dude, you're gonna get torched so bad". I really liked that she's coming into a badass role now and i'm curious what her actions are going to be right after this, but i get the sense that there's a timeskip in the future (could readers tell me if i'm right?) 'cause Arya needs to grow up and become an awesome assassin, and Daenerys needs to travel and grow her dragons.

Oh, and the podcasts are great. Love to hear other people talk about it who picked up some of the stuff i missed, and some stuff from the book that might fill in stuff or shed more light on character. Informative and entertaining, gotta love it!
Nope, no time skip. Dragons grow fast, and who said someone have to be old to be an awesome assassin *wink*.

Episode 4 was nothing short of amazing. And the the scene with Pod and the whores in episode 3 was the funniest thing I saw in months.
skip to 5:30.

Also:
Ramsay Snow you bastard

A man thinks the skills of a Faceless Man are not so easily acquired :p

The dragons growing quickly was something they pointed out in the show, but like Daenerys herself pointed out i didn't think they were growing fast enough. Nice to know they're not doing a skip then 'cause it means we don't lose a whole bunch of events that would've happened during that time.

BTW, Ramsay knowing about the Stark children being alive is not an addition to the show. In the books, Ramsay disguises himself as Reek and pretends to be in service to Theon. He is the one who comes up with the whole miller boys plan.
CORRECT! I forgot that ploy was his in the books. My mind had become muddied a different Ironborn telling Theon the plan in the show but you're right Ramsay does know what really happened. Come to think of it, it's weird that's never mentioned in the dealings afterwards in ADWD.

Not sure. I know he has men searching for them in ASoS but after that I think he just gives up and assumes they're dead or long gone. I can't remember if he even bothered to tell his father.

Commenting as I listen, so the following might seem a bit chaotic.

I really, really loved the character portrayal of Jaime and Brienne. It really shows that Jaime now greatly respects Brienne, particularly since they crossed swords. Up until he loses his hand, that's the one thing he truly respects above all else, swordsmanship and your fighting prowess as a whole. I'm definitely looking forward to more scenes with the two of them, particularly how the rest of the arc plays out. Going from "Jaime is evil" to "he's actually a decent guy" was a very gradual process for me: it started when he saved Brienne from rape, and the "what would Tyrion do" moment in the books really won me over.

About the chain... I too was disappointed that they took that away from Tyrion. I understand the costs behind it, but couldn't they have used CGI? Or a model? Just wondering, I have no idea how realistic that would look, or what the costs would be. I'm just going from a story perspective, here.

Regarding the Theon plotline, I'm in the process of finishing book 3, and there's a Robb chapter in which Lord Bolton says that Theon has been captured by his bastard and that he's going to hold him in the Dreadfort. He even goes so far as to skin the finger off one of his little fingers and sent it to Robb and Catelyn. So we do know something's going on.

Not too surprised about the TV series diverging from the books in the future. And like Susan, I'm also hoping they'll diverge about Catelyn. I just read the whole "OMG" chapters last night, and I was FLOORED, big "OMGWTFBBQ." I'm not going to spoil that either, and I'm really glad you didn't spoil it either: like Bdcjacko, I truly think that it should never be spoiled.

Heh, when you guys talked about Robb being nursed back to health by Jeyne Westerling, it's not the Stockholm syndrome, it's the Nightingale effect (named for famous nurse Florence Nightingale). Just putting that out there. :) Her family was indeed a Lanister vassal, they're from the Crag.

The Queen of Thrones played by Diana Rigg? Absolutely freakin' awesome!!! More Tyrell scenes, definitely! I'm hoping that'll be the case when the Martells ride into King's Landing for the wedding, that should be great to see.
My sense about Margaery is similar to pretty similar to what you stated. Natalie Dormer is spectacular, I was very impressed by how masterful her performance was (I mean, I liked her in The Tudors, but...meh). In the books, her deviousness was less apparent because you all saw it through Sansa's eyes, and I'll admit that I didn't quite catch on to the Tyrell deviousness at first. You had to read between the lines of Sansa's chapters and cross reference it with Tyrion's chapters.

Glad you talked about Varys' crate! That definitely wasn't the book, and the entire scene, I was wondering what that was all about. Definitely well paced, a very powerful scene.

I agree with Tito, I think Melissandre is going to get Edric Storm. Which is weird, because in the book, they had him with them the whole time after Storm's End. Agreed with Alex on Stannis' portrayal, I was a bit disappointed as well: in the book, Stannis does his duty. That's who he is, duty above all.

Super pleased with Daenarys' scenes!! She definitely looked and felt like a queen, a commander, someone who deserves respect and obeisance. It was so great to see her come into her own, and feel well... Queenly!

Clearly you guys don't read all the comments, as I wrote about last episode about the actor playing Julius Caesar in Rome also playing Mance Rayder. ;) And yes, I'm going to join Susan on one count: Jon Snow needs to close his mouth and cut his hair, drives me crazy!!

I wasn't certain if your guys had noticed, but since this episode confirms that we've got some Rome fans like me: Edmure Tully (the guy who kept missing with the fire arrow) is Brutus. I like how HBO is bringing in actors from their previous series... I can't wait for Pullo and Vorenius to show up!
Which I also pointed out here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/6.405478-Escapist-Podcast-Bonus-Game-of-Thronescast?page=2#16913703]. XD

Thats a good theory I think. But I don't quite know what having Sansa would do for Littlefinger. Ostensibly, it could give him power over the Starks, but that did not work for Jeoffry, as Robb still went to war with him regardless. As long as Sansa remains in the capital she is a hostage of the Lannisters, and she has been told that Jeoffry will still regard her as his plaything. I don't know if anything could be worse for her.
And maybe Littlefinger just wants to get in her pants, which would still be better than Jeoffry, imho.
It's actually a bit more complex than that. Everyone believes that Bran and Rickon are dead, that Arya's lost (hence dead as well). As long as Robb doesn't have a child of his own, the heir to his throne, to Winterfell is Sansa. Therefore, if anything happened to Robb, Sansa and her husband would inherit Winterfell.

Definitely looking forward to more Game of Thronescast! Was great to have Alex back too!!
