Simple answer: NO!

Better put: Hell NO!

Seriously I'm not against MMO's but WoW is a blight against social competency. You are better off in the sunlight and playing other games that don't involve you paying just to cripple your self.

One thing that I dont understand about WOW, why do you pay subscriptions if you still have to buy Cataclysm? I thougth subscriptions were for that kind of stuff, like keeping the game active and providing new stuff. Dont tell me that its for the servers because come on, all those players giving all that money and the excuse are the servers?

OT:If you dont have anything beter to do, then go for it, but if you have stuff like work or any other kind of goal to achieve leave it alone.

You have to weigh the good and the bad you got from playing WoW for so long and whether it would be worth going out and doing it all over again.

Don't think that you're somehow obligated to stay off from it because of something you said to your ex (in case youre thinking that, things with exes can affect us more than we think)

If you think that you're better off not playing it or that you feel better as a person for not being on the game for so long- then don't play it again. If you think it's worth playing again, to play with other friends and because you don't think the game would have any hindrance on the rest of you life, or that it never even did in the first place, then by all means pick up Cataclysm

The subscription is to pay the servers and make sure that the game is always updated and create more content for it, between expansion releases. The other you paying for the expansion. I could wager that the game at this point is starting to require a lot of crazy sums of money. WoW doesn't come that cheap that can be sustained by people buying the game alone, and I doubt that Blizzard could keep the same level of content patches and bug fixes that it currently has, not to mention the huge team it has just for technical support, without the subscriptions. They could probably cut the price though...
But if people are paying why change right?

Meh I played the trial, it was ok bit to much grind, though that's to be expected... Still trying to explain to my friend that grind is what all MMOs are made of
