The fact that, at the time of writing, this thread has over 120 replies says a lot about the general forum population, particularly as this is the fourth thread on the subject I've seen, all of which were at some point in the "hot topics" area of the forum.
Yes, it was slightly amusing (some of them at any case), but does this sort of thing really need "discussing" (I use quotes because I've not seen any actual discussion within this thread) and in such a childish manner?
Add March Madness (one of the worst events on The Escapist) into the mix and you've got two events of, what in my eyes, appears to be an depressing trend in the The Escapist. We've got the rise of the "nanny-state" (Ex: People getting put on probation or worse in March Madness threads over absolutely nothing) alongside the (continuing) rise of the unintelligent, non-discussive forum.
