H'lo there 'scapists.

I'm sure we've all had our share of late-night adventures (yeah yeah, misinterpret that all you want) that required from us that extra effort just to make it in/out of home, be it taking a trip without parent supervision to the convenience store to sneaking out of a lame party. So I ask you, fellow 'scapists, have you ever snuck in/out of something?

Me? I actually just got back from a party, and that's what kinda inspired me to do this topic. But I have snuck out before, twice: one was to catch a secret gig my friend's band was putting on the next city over, and the other was to get a game back from another friend of mine a block or so away (it was like, 3 AM). I had to go through the back door, secretly activate her Wii, shut everything down, and sneak out the front. T'was exhilarating.

So...share your stories, fellow night-owls.

I've snuck out of my aunt's place when I was living in Vancouver at midnight and returned by 6 in the morning. I wasn't even partying, I was just driving around exploring the city without the traffic. Oh and using the free wifi by parking outside of a starbucks XD

Oh THAT kind of sneaking out.
Hmmm... I think I snuck out a few times, but that was only to go skating during the winter at 3am or so, when it was peaceful and quiet in my town ^_^
I never had to sneak out of my house, and I never had to get grounded by my parents. I lived half an hour out of any city of worth, and I spent most of my time on the computer in the basement anyways, so grounding me would've done nothing.

I thought you meant sneaking in stores after closing, or in movie theatres.
I have many many more stories of those :D

I snuck into the house once, when I got back late from a party and didn't want to wake my mother. She asked that, in the future, I just use the garage and wake her up so she'd know I was home safe. So after that, no sneaking. No other sorts of sneaking, either. I'm the good girl in my family.

I snuck into the Drunken Unicorn, and 18 and up concert venue, to see Municipal Waste and Goatwhore when I was 15. It was a wise decision, and one that I do not regret in the slightest.

That film with Tom Cruise... Collateral? It's the only movie in the cinema I've ever walked out on.

Other than that my Mom was pretty reasonable with letting me go out or to parties and things like that so I never had to sneak out. Left a few stale parties but usually my friends and I aren't subtle about it. Not in a dickhead way, we just try to move everyone in the party elsewhere.

One time I had to sneak back into my house because my parents left all the lights on. I thought they were still up, but it turns out they left them on to let me know the door was open. :/

Another time I was going to a friend's house and the door was locked. So I had to climb a ladder and knock on her window to get in. Not truly sneaking, but close enought.

Then I sneaked into some R rated movie when I was 12 but left after five minutes because it was boring.

I've never snuck out of home, my Dad never really put restrictions on me on when I could and could not go out so whenever i've wanted to do something i've just done it. (After giving a heads-up to my father of course)

Once distracted a security guard so my friend could climb a fence and get into a bar that wouldnt let anyone else in, other than me and everyone who had already paid. Which might not have been that amazingly rebellious, but it was a fun thing to do.

Hmm, I guess I will start with the least illegal of my many stories.
If these stories intrigue you, please quote me so I know to respond :D

When I was between the ages of 17 and 18, and still malleable in my intellectual understanding of what was right and wrong (partially because of a certain teacher of mine that was very stimulating) I would engage in activities that were mostly illegal, but very very fun.

One such activity was 'breaking' into stores that are closed.
The first store that I 'broke' into, was a 'games' store that had everything from costumes, board games, and card games, and two of my friends and I decided it would be fun to sneak in there and look around without the clerks looking at us, and without a time constraint.
Well, we opened some 10 or 20 board games to look at the pieces, and tried on some 30+ costumes, but we never took anything. We weren't there to steal anything, we were just there for some fun and adventure. Eventually, 7am rolled around, and we heard someone come into the store, so we quickly packed up all the stuff we opened, took off the costumes we had on, and hid as best we could.
The clerk did a once over of the store; looked through every isle to see that everything was fine, and we all held as still as possible. I still had on half of an elf costume as the clerk walked by, and was SURE the clerk looked at me, but kept walking. I quickly got the rest of the costume off, and met up with my friends by the exit (as planned) before getting out of there.
It was alot of fun, but after our exploration, we didn't have to ever trouble the 'games' store ever again.

Move theatre "sneak" ins were alot more fun and risky, but thats another story for another time :D

I've snuck into a movie theater once, and on while visiting a friend in Florida we snuck into a Hotel party. But that's about it, every now and again I would sneak out of my house and go TPing with my friends

I sneak into movies all the time generally to see another movie after the first because well lets face it those theaters rip you off as far as costs go.

I've had no adventures that required any kind of stealth. Kinda boring when you think about it :/

I was in high school, in PE, playing tennis, when I hit the ball over the high fence and into the yard of some guy who lived next door to the school. Teacher said I had to go get it.

So I go to the gate, and I look through the slats and of course there is this huge kennel. And I'm thinking shit, shit, shit, this dog is gonna tear me in half.

But I can see that the kennel's empty, and I can't hear anything, so I slowly lift the catch and open the gate. Nothing happens. I slip inside, I see the ball in the middle of the yard, and I go get it.

I'm looking around the whole time, and there's nothing, it's deserted, so I'm laughing at myself now, at how scared I was. So I stroll back to the gate, walk out, and close it noisily.

Out of nowhere, this gigantic dog SLAMS into the gate, almost re-opening the damn thing. I click it shut and run like a ***** as it barks like crazy.

Never doing that again.

I finished an essay late at my university, around midnight. It was due the next day, and I couldnt be bothered driving back the next day because it was 45 minuites drive away, so I kinda snuck into the building to submit it. Technically it wasnt locked, but all the lights were off and there was no one there. It was about 6 floors up. I had to use my phone to light my way because it was like a labyrinth in there, twisting passages and locked doors. Was hella fun though.
