Hello Escapists, Val here today. I find myself in a better-than average mood as of late since I got a new vehicle today! It is one of these:

2000 Chevy Blazer. Fantastic vehicle, and when it's done with the tune-up and customizations it will be even better. So Escapists, I've got a question for you people: What do you use to get around, if anything? Do you use a normal sedan or SUV? Or do you use an Imperial AT-AT Walker or a TARDIS? Post what you use to get from point A to B and beyond!

I'm rocking a VX Commodore

Not the best car ever but it's cheap to run (Dual fuel) and hasn't given me any real problems yet.

It's not very fast, but it's reliable (somewhat) and gets me to my destination eventually...

Hey, at least you've got one advantage over us drivers: more game time! I used to game all the time on the bus to school and back. Had enough time to do a couple missions in Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and shit.

I used to game on the bus... then I missed my stop many times over.

At least with turn based games I can look up more often >.<

That's right bitches, this is how I roll. It's an '01 but still gets about 40mpg on average. It might not be the coolest ride but since I spend less the entire month than one tank of my girlfriend's Ford Escape it more than makes up for it. Plus it's really nice to have a car with an engine that can cut out when I'm idling in Austin TX's terribad traffic.

Pretty decent choice if you're just hauling your ass and very little cargo around the city. Before the recent car crash that totaled my previous car, I had a car in the same class. Saturn Wagon. Good on gas, bad with just about everything else, especially with the roads around here. Hell, one time my exhaust pipe snapped and dragged on the ground and shit because of a rather bad series of potholes. Roads around here don't treat city cars well.

Eh, I'm good at packing crap in, plus the girlfriend has a decent sized SUV so no real worries there. Austin Texas' roads are pretty good for the most part. But since I'm in Texas I'm a bit leery of some of the bigger trucks and SUVs. One run in with a Heavy Duty XL Extended Cab Super Over-compensator 5000 and I'm screwed.

Slow as all hell and not particularly impressive, but the fuel efficiency is truly amazing.

Have to get a replacement every few years, but the price is pretty reasonable.

Yes, that actually exists. it's going for some $90,000 in California. Fucking nuts.

Damn. I wish I lived in an area where biking was a viable transport alternative. Good exercise, especially for the legs.

...What the fuck is the point of that? It's got like what? A four foot bed? That's like an SUV with an open trunk. But yeah, I'm pretty sure my Prius could bounce off of it without the other driver even noticing.

It's almost always viable, the question is how much adrenalin sweat and sweat you have accumulated at the end of the ride and how many hours you are willing to use on it >.>

Captcha: living things, yeah that is one of the risks.

That's actually an 8-foot dually box. the cabin is the size of a goddamn van, and together it's the size of a school bus. It is apparently supposed to be a Yacht hauler or something. and yeah, I bet your Prius would have the impact of an airsoft BB if it hit that.

It's a pretty good car, a little bit worn out on the inside though but not to bad for a 22 year old car.

Edit: Not sure how but I forgot to mention the make and model haha oh well, it's a 91 BMW 325i and I am happy with how it runs and looks.

well, since it's a Topkick, it should get around 7 or 8 mpg tops. Possibly less due to the additional payload.

A 2007 Renault Clio, not flashy but it'll get me to where I'm going.

It's been over a decade since I've even looked at a bicycle, but even I could immediately see that there's something different about your machine. Are those...disc brakes? You've got a single grip shift for something, but I don't understand, because it's a single, a fixie? And are those bladed spokes on aero rims? Your commuter bike has aero rims? I don't even know what brand that is, but the frame looks aluminum. Did you set that up yourself?

Man, it's been too long since I've ridden. Used to be able to ride from my apartment to Walden Pond, a 40-mile round trip. Those were the days.
