I have a very specific thing that reeealy freaks me out.

I don't have a fear of bridges
and I don't have a fear of water/drowning
and I don't have a fear of cars.

But I have panic attacks when I get stopped (driving is fine, though a little nerve wracking) in a car on a bridge. The thought of the bridge giving out and me being dropped into a deep river or the ocean to drown in a death trap. My hands are shaking just typing this.

Apiphobia/Cnidophobia - Fear of Bees/Insect Stings, respectively. In Particular, Hornets. If you ever watch those shows where they exterminate things, if a Hornet comes on television, I get very close to passing out. Needless to say, the Pain from Metal Gear Solid 3 is not my favorite villain.

Autophobia - Fear of being alone.
Noctiphobia - Fear of the Night.
Phonemophobia - Fear of Thinking.
Socialphobia - Fear of People.

Other fears that do not have names:

Fear of Sunsets. Yes, I cannot enjoy a romantic summer evening because I am afraid of sunsets.
Fear of Music Boxes. If you type up "Fear of Music Boxes" on Google, you will find that a comment I made about Music Boxes is the only one that gets mentioned.

Scoleciphobia - Phobia of Maggots
So you're scared of Slipknot fans? :p

Joking aside and on topic:

I think everyone has a slight case of claustrophobia so I wouldn't consider my own particularly unusual. For instance, I could without much of a problem crawl around in air ventilation ducts, but the thought of being buried alive or otherwise trapped in a really tight and confined space makes me scared. But then again, who isn't? So perhaps that's more of a fear of asphyxiating or getting stuck in a place where you will eventually starve to death or die of thirst.

So if we're going to take a more unusual phobia that I have it would be floating in open water. A swimming pool is okay, and staying in really shallow water close to a beach is fine (like, up to my shoulders or neck at the most). But the thought of swimming in an open ocean or being in the middle of a lake several meters deep makes me very uncomfortable. The same goes for sticking my head under the surface and looking under water if it's especially deep, which cause me to get a touch of vertigo.

Now I know that most of the places I've been swimming in doesn't have any maneating sharks or any similar monstrous sea-creature that is going to drag me down and kill me from a rational perspective. But the very thought that im not in my natural element, and that water-dwelling creatures certainly are and can move a lot faster than me as well as percieve their surroundings a lot better than me makes me uncomfortable.

Heck I could be swimming next to the friendliest and most benign sea-dwellers in existence (like dolphins or non-aggressive whales) and I'd still be scared of their very prescence. Interstingly enough this sense of discomfort actually transcends to video games as well. I get the same feeling if im playing a game where I have to swim under water and it gets even worse if there are hostile creatures in there with whatever in-game avatar I use for the moment.

The under-water sequences in Bioshock 2 didn't have that effect on me though. I guess it's because you don't really "swim" as much as walk on the sea-floor. In fact, I felt so safe I almost wished that something hostile would attack me during those sequences. :S

Anyhow, open water is something I want to stay away from.

That said, I might some day try to conquer my fear by taking deep sea diving lessons and perhaps even try out that thing where you watch sharks through a sunken cage. But it's going to be difficult for me.

For example, i love minraft, but i hate mining. I cannot mine longer than 10-15 min, i just hate it when i cannot see the sky over my character.
I'm not sure that's light, friend... I'd say my discomfort with the inability to move in confined spaces was light, but panicking when you can't see the sky might be a little bit more severe. Moderate, maybe. Or mild. Just saying.

My 'main' phobia, if you like, is of spiders. But I'm also shit-scared of mannequins. Fuckin'... plastic... statue people...

"Odynophobia - fear of pain"

WTF is that shit?!? What logical person isn't scared of pain?

Freaking psycho-analysts making everyone think they have mental problems...
Erm, im a pretty logical person (always going by rational arguments and rarely do anything based on emotion alone as well as having been accused of being an unemotional "robot" by some) and im not scared of pain.

Im scared of getting seriously injured perhaps, but i could, for instance do some showboating by, let's say slice a red hot blade through my skin without too much hesitation and pretty much no fear at all.

Mind over matter, ya know. :p

I have no idea what it is called, but I know what mine is. Frogs. God damn frogs.

They're just disgusting, especially the larger ones. If I'm in a zoo, I normally have to walk straight passed any frog or toad exhibits because if I stay and watch, I normally get chills sent up my spine and will want to get as far away as possible.

I'm really afraid of heights in video games, to the point of making high-pitched whiny noises and standing up whenever I have to be up too high. In Half Life 2, there was that bridge level, and I loved how I had to do what took me twenty minutes AGAIN with a helicopter shooting at me. I also hate giant bugs, like in Fallout. Whiny noises abounded in that game.

In real life, I'm afraid of getting stuck in places. Like if I'm leaning over a fence, I'm afraid to put my leg between the fence posts, because of how hard it always is to get it back out. I also don't like thinking about popcorn, because it makes my molars hurt, but that's not really a phobia.

Mine isnt really odd since its one of the more common ones but I'm arachnophobic. Even a little tiny spider will cause me to freak and you don't want to see me when theres a large one.

Also I'll admit I have a slight fear of the dark

Muahahaha, ever played Silent Hill 2? >:D
Never played any Silent Hills, but I've seen playthroughs of every one ('cept Origins, fuck Origins!). The ones in SH2 didn't creep me out that much, but the fear actually started when I saw the Mannequin Room in Silent Hill 3. The one with all the mannequin torsoes and the one bust? That shit messed with my head.
