I got a new TV for my bedroom and should be getting a new 360 tomorrow so I'm looking forward to getting back into gaming and getting Netflix.

I'm also seeing someone wonderful in 5 days :3 that helped me through my 12 hour shift today -.-

I am actually enjoying a Zelda game at the moment, which just astounds me. But I've gotten about halfway through it, and I'm still not feeling the same old "fuck this game" syndrome that has afflicted me with them for most of my life.

On another level, my son is getting his first tooth in, so in his moments of happiness, he has a nearly toothless grin, with just a hint of white on his lower gum. It is adorable.
Plus, the three kittens that we are raising at the moment are in love with me, to the point of congregating around my feet as I walk through.

I'm a pretty bad debater, and usually end up loosing any discussion I have with my friends in most fields. Today, I managed to convince probably the smartest guy I know that videogames are art after about an hour of discussion.

Getting home and playing Sly Cooper and the thievius Racoonus cheered me up, as well as acquiring a new book, Bad science, by Doctor Ben Goldacre, which I am enjoying immensely I must say. I then got home and found out that my mum had bought his second book, Bad Pharma as a present went a long way to brightening up what was a rather crappy day at work. Now I have just found out that one of my best friends is free this weekend, so we are going to meet up on Sunday and hang out. Work may have been crap, but the day definitely picked up after 6 O'Clock.

Currently looking for something to cheer me up. Life is pretty depressing right now and I haven't felt happy in a while. I guess Monday means new Adventure Time tonight. *checks to confirm* Oh wait, there won't be a new one until June. Sigh.

I am quite a sucker for GeoGuessing, Staring At Maps, StreetView and such so when I came across this game this morning The View From Your Window (which presents a photograph, showing the view from a window anywhere in the world) I had to give it a try. And the current contest is:

30 minutes later, after going full CSI, I now might actually win something tomorrow :D

One minute it was sunny, the next it was a incredibly dark, there was a flash and a loud bang. Yeah, I like the British weather.

I called up my ISP and managed to convince them not only to drastically increase my speeds but also to cut £8 off of the monthly bill. I've seriously underestimated my negotiating skills up until this point.

Also the lunch period at work made me laugh so hard it hurt. This guy and one of the girls, through a prolonged jokey discussion, convinced this woman that she (the girl) was an internet porn star. The look of disgust on her face as she left the room was priceless and my closing comments were "It's fun to watch". Double pun. High-fives all round. Brilliant.

Love you all! (OK maybe not all...) :-D

Edit: I forgot to mention I just booked the airplane tickets for Finland where I get a 4-days off so ye, that makes me happy too! ;-)

Transistor.

Amazing game, lived up to my expectations, and I can't get the soundtrack out of my head.

In addition, I still have that bitter-sweet heartache, about 6 hours after completion. The kind one gets when you have seen something truly spectacular.

I watched X-Men: Days of Future Past and enjoyed it a lot! Also my boss at the magazine covered my back with an assignment at the last minute, and that was superbly cool of him.

I've had a crappy day today, slashed two fingers on a meat slicer at work and while I was doing that my young son smashed his face on some pavement near my house, literally within five minutes of each other, my wife just showed me this and I can't help but feel good lol

Seeing you come back! :)

Also what really got me in a good mood was spending my break at work writing out my novel idea again. I'm not going to sit on my ass any longer! It is time to.... sit on my ass.... AND WRITE THIS BOOK!

My goal is to have it done by September.

I also had a blast playing some Floor Killer with my pal from Saskatchewan.
