Escapists, why do so many people like Katy Perry?

I find some of her music fairly catchy and she's really attractive.

Well because she has good music, thats why anyone likes any musician isn't it, also she does have good looks, i'm a gay guy and she's one of the few females i've ever been attracted to, still I mean, you can't like a musician just for their looks, and nobody would, like, watch a video of a singer for a completely unrelated reason but then halfway through it see the hottest guy i've ever seen before and because of it watch every video on their youtube channel and getting obsessed to the point where I kiss a picture of him before I go to bed every night but then get depressed because of the lyrics of a song and crying myself to sleep every night for weeks, that'd never happen...

The same reason people like Queen, Beatles, Lady Gaga, Avenged Sevenfold or Justin Bieber. They like the music.

It's good to know that naïveté is still alive and well...

I find it funny when people put an accent in naive or spell it with an e in English. It's a fully-integrated word that easily takes productive English affixes. Kudos for taking the next step and using the e alongside two superfluous accents.
