How have you expressed interest in women around your friend? If you have been respectful of women in his presence then it's probably an easy sell. If you trade porn with him and talk gobs of perv with the dude, then he won't be happy.

Either way, it's best to inform him of your intentions. Don't ask for permission, it's disrespectful to the girl since he's her brother not her pimp. Just tell him what you are doing.

I'm not sure about ethics, but if you do go for it don't forget your friend. that happens, and seeing as it probably won't last, I would advise against. If you ask him if he has any problems, he could say yes or no. But if he says no, that may just be becuse your friends and he actually DOES have a problem.

Well, for future reference in case the issue becomes an...urm...issue...(?) again, you could always speak to your best friend about it, ask if it was a problem for him. Might be a tad more respectful then going behind his back.
