Ethnic Food

As of late i just finished a fairly good meal of Chinese take out and the thought occurred to me what kind of ethnic food do my fellow escapists enjoy?
My adventurous into ethnic food are fairly limited to say the least but among the ones i have tried id have to say that Mexican Chinese and Irish are my most favorite.

So escapists what ethnic foods do you enjoy and share some of the experiences good or bad you have had with ethnic foods.

Well, as far as a brit goes my favourite "Ethnic Meal" is Fish and Chips.

I hate American food. Well, that's an exaggeration because I like barbecue but most fast food and hamburgers make me want to gag. Anything from a different country, almost. I really like sushi and Japanese food the most.

Indian food and Thai. If it's not spicy, I could care less. Indian works for me because there's so many veggie dishes, and they're both great for staying up all night gaming or trawling the internets.

From what I've tried so far, Chinese, Japanese and Italian hold quite a few dishes I really like. There's one ethnic kitchen that I consider being way to hyped though and that is the Greek cuisine. I guess im not such a big fan of their cheese...

Thai food is awesome, South American is fantastic, Portuguese is amazing, but I have a particular inclination towards middle-eastern (like Persian/Assyrian) and North African (like Moroccan) cuisine.

Just about every country on the Mediterranean has delicious food.

Also, barbecue.

(Of the vinegar-based, pulled-pork variety, you western heathens.)

Currys, chow-mein, cheese on toast (it's the dish of Wales) and I suppose, really... any food.

I mean, all food is made by at least one ethnic group, so it's all ethnic isn't it, really?

Mmm, Cajun food is always good. I also like Chinese, and pretty much anything else that isn't seafood.
