It's snowed for me today. But it was flimsy. I spent the past week scraping frost off my car in order to get to work, and the snow's not even settled. It was actually quicker for me to get to work today, than any other day last week.
I am chuffed that all the fields near me are covered in a nice white scenic snow though. Makes where I live look prettier
I can't believe how many people at my work blagged it off though. No major roads, or even B roads near me are closed and the small country lanes I drove down didn't have any snow or ice on them. So how they are 'snowed in' when they all live within a 5 mile radius of this building is actually laughable.
Thank Christ for Scottish weather. Man, it's Fishy! As in, Carl from XBL.
I got the same (awesome) snow storm. It was crazy. First it was hailing, snowing and a thunderstorm killed my PC (boo!), but now we've got a foot/foot and a half of snow easy.
I checked the school closures this morning at 7:40 to find my school is open. By 8:15 the bus company had rang in to say it was too dangerous to bring the kids in to school. I got to school at 9 to find out it was closed. Not happy.
Where I live I've seen snow once since I was born. Luckily the mountains around here have some of the good stuff. No snow days though. I am optimistic for at least an inch this year. It's no snow day but I can at least teach my sister how to ruin someone's day with a snowball.
when i look out of my window it's all white
it started to snow like yesterday late morning.
its maybe like 2 inches of snow. not much but enough for our dog to get excited. (she loves snow)
Edit:
its weird, i don't know how much snow fell elsewhere but from what i am reading it seems that as soon there's snow falling out of the sky the schools close. last year i had to plow through 13inches of snow to get to my school. school rarely close here in holland. and certainly not for weather conditions
Second snow day for me (just outside Edinburgh). I'm a little annoyed, one snow day was awesome, but I am worried I'll only get paid for 2-3 days this week. Buses are being diverted past my town, so I can't make it to work as much as I would like to.
On a side note, the snow is thick enough in some places that chest high walls are hard to see.
Here in the South-East of Britain and i'm not in school today! It was a big suprise last night when snow started falling heavily. It's not heavy not but still falls a lot, but it's expected to get worse which i'm actually glad of since I can get off school.
WHY is everywhere snowing but not where I am?! NOT FAIR I WANT SOME TOO!!!!! And it's still warm, it says it's 14 degrees Celsius regardless of the rain and wind. This year the weather is freaked out completely, it never happened before.
