Just turned on my wii yesterday for the first time in 6 months or so, and upon visiting the wii shop channel I recieved a notice explaining how I, and you could earn 500 wii points,

To do this you need two people, on person who ninndo is calling ambassador, and one person who has just conected their wii to the internet for the first time ever in the last 30 days,
each person must then type the friend code of the other into the wii shop channel and both players reciev 500 wii points,

Yeah, although I don't know why, as it's not like live subscription, and I only played my wii games once each online before stopping.

Why not, it's free and not enough people do it. If more people start using Wii online Ninty might be compelled or at least consider doing something about those effing friend codes.
