Yes. Probably best if I leave it at that.

I don't like many of them, as a lot of them share the same stereotypical traits (perfect skin, big breasts, etc.) but some, like Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3 didn't try to do that. I respect the developers for that, and praise the character for their realistic appearance and attitude of that type of person stuck in a "What would happen if a teenage girl got stuck in the most disturbing and horrifying enviornment ever with creatures based off of her own fears that want to rip her limb from limb." situation.
I respect that, too. What was funny was seeing an interview with one of the game designers in which he discussed Heather's outfit. He said that originally they had been planning to go with a much more utilitarian, conservative outfit for her, but it was the women who worked in the game studio who thought she should wear the vest-and-miniskirt combo we recognize. It makes sense, of course, given that she's a teenaged girl, but kudos to them for keeping her from being overly sexualized.
Having said that, I had a thing for Eileen Galvin from "Silent Hill: The Room", and that was before seeing her in the alternate "nurse uniform". Though seeing her in that costume while still being bloodied and bruised, with her arm in a cast and her eye bandaged, made me feel equally disturbed. Like the game was shaming me for any prurient thoughts the costume was inspiring.
