Yes, I was banned from playing Magic: the Gathering with my "friends" because I had made a couple of decks that were nigh unbeatable by anything they could come up with.

The funniest thing is that they're all dead now.
wait just a grammatical questionout of shock

Your friends or the decks?

I've been kicked from Halo servers for "cheating" (which I wasn't) and battlefield servers, that's about it xD

I got banned from some css servers and I'm not even that good at it.
Was a 24/7 pool party server and the admin was on the opposing team.
I'd get the auto shotgun run around the corner and kill everyone, after 2 rounds he removed the auto shotgun so I did the same thing with the M3 shotgun, after a couple of rounds of that he banned me for aimbotting.

i play on the Xbox so i cant really get banned. But i have had my share of angry messages (mostly from BFBC2) with two examples jumping to mind.

1- i was on the loosing team on a "conquest" map and the enemy had surround our spawn base with snipers so we couldnt get out. eventually i managed to get out and capture another spawn point, i then managed to hold it from the wave of enemies trying to get it back before my team could spawn there. I then got some angry messages from the enemy team as the shotgun i was using was "overpowed" (it was the SPAZ-12)

2- in a rush game on oasis, me and a friend (who wasnt using that broken "fly in a circle" trick) were in the attack chopper and killing everything as we were comunicating well and we had a friend on the ground marking targets for us (yay teamwork). According to the messages we got apparently teamwork isnt allowed on the xbox
Ohh I've had my fair share of complaints about stuff like the 2d one

You're not allowed to play bfbc2 with friends bro , they just won't have it! hahaha

I've had a few decks in Magic: The Gathering banned by friends. I guess taking on 5 other people with their best deck and mine and walking away with a couple hundred health didn't settle well. Made quite a few other great decks and ended up getting my old deck allowed back in, buuuut I was always the first target. Just kinda stopped playing it unless asked to, as they always wanted to finally beat it. Which actually did happen, a friend made a white lock down deck which prevented me from doing anything at all...

Unfortunately I can't say that I have. I'm just not good enough at games to really piss people off.

Been kicked from a cod4 server recently, it was my first time back playing it after about a year, and I just jumped in and dominated. no deaths for three matches and then I got banned.

Thing is, I'm not normally that good, the last time I played on the server they were about the same level as me.

I've been kicked from a Warcraft 3 game for being better than the host, who was, quite frankly, a terrible player himself. Facepalming ensued.

I was. I had finally found a TF2 (warcraft3 mod)server where I was the man. I found the absolute best mix of class, race, items, and weapons which allowed me to, quite literally, devastate the entire opposite team. Seriously they all ended up stuck in their spawn because I was apparently too much to handle (Even though a simple heavy could kill me off rather easily). Anyways fast forward to yesterday. I'm killing everything in sight as usual when suddenly I'm kicked by the admin. "Odd" I say to myself as I log back in. The server was empty when I went back in so I assumed it was an admin command gone awry. When I am kicked yet again. I decide to leave it be for a while till the server is more stable , coming back only to find out I had been banned.

So have you ever been banned for this reason? Like legitimately kicking a little too much ass for the admin's tastes? Share your story!
actually that sounds less like you were banned for kicking too much ass and more like you were banned for spawn camping everybody.

Bf2, Sharqi Peninsula. With another player, we had the MEC attack heli. We weren't shot down, just kept killing for 35mins before the admin banned us both for what I can only assume was his bad sportsmanship.

I was kicked and/or banned from a Call of Duty 4 game the other day. I had 32-0 when that happened. Apparently, running around from sniping nest to sniping nest with an M40A3 and the Bandolier perk in HC TDM is infuriating. Loved every second though, it was very fun, and there was one point where I ALMOST died. Never been that good in a game of CoD4 before.

You found a server where you where obviously a better player than everyone else, you probably should have been looking for a server of people of your own skill level instead of beating up others who aren't as good and are trying to get better and have fun.

I think I explained it enough, you didn't belong there and should have gone somewhere else. I don't want to take away from your skill as a player, but, you lack class. Instead of trying to playing in a server to have fun, you went in there to float your ego, and that seems to be why you where banned.

Simply put, the admin banned you because you where ruining the game for the other team or possibly everyone.
What this guy said, which is also the same reason I can't remember being kicked for doing too well. The purpose of online games isn't to find a community shit enough to make you look awesome.

A few years back I played BF2142 a lot. I was in a gaming clan which was not very competetive in terms of ladders or matches, but on our public servers we ruled hard due to our teamwork and communications.

One day the admins of the clan pulled me into a private room on Ventrilo and and asked with a stern voice "Kasper, be honest, are you hacking?" I lol'd hard and of course said "no" because I really didn't.

Later that day I went on to a random server to record some gameplay just to proof I wasn't hacking. The map was Cerbere Landing for anyone who know BF2142 and I was PAC. On my team was 6-8 other pubbers I didn't know and on the other were about 5 members of the clan who owned the server plus some pubbers. I turned on FRAPS and went to work. The guys on my team had trouble getting to the first flag but with my trusty old BAUR H-AR and some precision shots we cleared it in less than a minute. Onwards to the next flag and again we had no trouble taking it. I did a few revives and headshotted some more enemies. At one point and enemy jumped down from a ledge and landed on the other side of a friendly from my point of view. The friendly started bunny hopping back and forth in front of him while the enemy danced likewise but couldn't hit the bunny hopper. I took him out with 3-4 rounds of single fire in between the legs of my ally as he jumped in the air. It was awesome and I got it on video.

The next flag I captured all on my own, killing 4 enemies on my way to the flag and 3 more as they spawned. I didn't get hit once and barely had time to take another step before the game threw me to the menu with a message "You have been banned by the admin of this server" (or something along those lines).

The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and I got it all on video. I went on their forum and posted the video so I could be unbanned but I never heard back from them.

It was pretty awesome and I laughed at the "getting banned for hacking while filming to disprove me hacking" thing. The video is no more but the memory of it so clear to me.

I got banned from a bad company 2 server on the pc because I made the admin look like a idiot. He was camping in a building , I saw the guy and shot him with my pistol (ran out of rifle ammo) . His buddy who I didn't know was there tries to knife me, he misses and I knife him. The admin guy respawns and I see him and knife him as well. Next thing I know I'm booted with the kick message being ;)

Also got booted from a couple of black ops servers. One for not playing the objective (I had just cleared a capture point in domination of a couple of people trying to cap it lolwat)

And others for ''hacking'' which in reality was the other team being shit.
Oh and I think I got booted from another one for ''camping'' when I drop shotted a guy who was spawn raping.

Never banned, but I did get reported for "cheating". Back in my early Starcraft 2 days, I was kicking arses in Bronze league (basically, noob central) and making my way to Silver (basically, slightly less noob central), several times I got accused of cheating, maphacking and whatnot by people who barely had two marines when my Hydra army rolled in...

Also, I get it fairly regularly in League of Legends, but the average player there seems to think of himself as the greatest gamer on Earth and any defeat or setback he suffers must be due to unfair play of some sort. So a guy who keept running into me 1v1, losing every time, giving me more and more money with each death and thereby widening the gap between us insisted I cheated every time...

Yeah, once in Gunz: the Duel. According to them it was because I was "a noob, for not K-styling", but that didn't stop me from getting an insane amount of kills by playing the game the way it was meant to.

I like the phrase "legitimately kicking...too much ass." You're a bully, plain and simple. Sorry about your manhood insufficiency problems, but you need to play against people who are a challenge to you. Bragging about picking off noobs is like punching a toddler and then gloating about it. How would you feel about a guy who bragged to you that he kicked a toddler's ass?

I got kicked a bunch of times when I used to play Combat Flight Simulator. Of the half dozen stock aircraft, everybody flew the Hurricane or the P-51. If you actually learned how to get good in a German plane or in a Spitfire everyone accused you of using mods. The thing is, the aircraft were harder to fly, but once you learned how to use the trim controls the Spitfire could fly rings around anything. I took the time to learn, and there were only a handful of other guys who could take me 1 v 1. Mostly I just kicked arse in any server I joined.

Funniest moment was when 3 guys from the same clan got pissed at me and started trying to work together to get me, and I mean making a serious effort - following me from one server to another any time I went online. When this didn't work they started resorting to dirty tricks such as spawn shooting (a big no-no in most flying games) and ramming. They still got their asses kicked, and after posting a FRAPS video of their utter annihilation on the interwebs and spamming the lobby chat with a link to it, they were heckled so hard they were never seen again.

I've made a couple of people rage quit in IL2 servers when I played that, although I never went out of my way to do it. I was never as good at IL2 as I was at CFS though.
