I was a bully back at school. I picked on this one kid. I don't know why. I really regret it. Weird thing is now we're kinda friends. I used to get picked on by the kids who went to the other local senior schools. I went to a Church of England school so I go the usual "bible basher" taunts. Also I was the victim of racism at one point. Fun times :(

I was bullied, when I was at 6th grade, I had two guys that tried to hit me, I was a very peaceful kid, they always grab me and they tried to drag me to the bathroom to hit me... they were unable to do so, and someday I realized... I was stronger than those two guys combined. It was fun when they attempted to do the same the other day. I just punched them, I was suspended, but I told the teacher the truth and they got suspended too.

Yea I have been bullied from 8-9th grade. I mainly endured and ignored them. Seeing that this would not work, I changed my strategy and beat the shit out of everyone who harassed me. That worked.
Actually a fun memory for me, when I beat that one guy till he was bleeding, he went crying to the teacher and said "xxxx beat me mimimi" and the teacher said "then you probably deserve it."
He then went to the toilet to stop the nose from bleeding and never harassed me again.
Great success. If you are being bullied, I can just recommend violence.

I as never a prime target but I did have a few people try to push me around to assert their manhood in middle and high school (grades 8-12). I generally ignored these people, however when I did fight I always made sure it was with words. I made it clear I was not afraid to use my fists if need be. They generally would back down after seeing I was not as easy a target as I seemed. Since I have no fear of death or pain they lost all leverage they had.

I was always a friendly yet distant guy in classes, if you didn;t know me we didn't really talk. So I guess it took would be bullies by surprise when I looked them in the eye and challenged them?

I also had friends in almost every group in high school, that probably offered some protection. Plus if you saw how some of the "cool kids" fought at my school you would know why they were all talk.

i get bullied a lot. but its mostly name said by insecure people so i let it slide. i did get badly bullied in primary school by a boy who had issues he would often lass out and when you as youge as i was it was a big deal. the teaches did nothing and often layed the blame on me and my friends, even after my parents got involved the school did nothing. he did stop as we got older and is now a bit of reject. i do see a lot bulling in high school and i do get involved helping the little man as it were. But the bullies in these situations never get expelled even when it is a common ocarinas, the schools to busy worrying about exclusion rating that it is ignorant to the damage its having on the victims. it sadens me greatly to see this happen.

Yes.

I concealed my anger and never dealt with it. In retrospect, I probably should've done something, but then I wouldn't be the awesome person, I am today.

Yes I have been in the past. and I was almost entirely frozen with fear every time. I won't make up some bullshit story about how I would've kicked their asses if not for [Convenient excuse], I was literally shit-scared of the guy. But that was years ago, and if it were to happen again I'm strong enough to deal with it far more effectively.

Not really. It wasn't so much bullying, it was more "My friends and I hate that guy, and his friends". That lasted until middle school, when I hit my first growth spurt, and became the tallest person in my grade.

Now nobody messes with me because they're afraid I'll beat the ever-loving shit out of them.

While I went about mostly unbothered there was one incident where I just lost it.

In primary school there was a kid who kept kicking me when I wasn't looking. He did it for about a week and I eventually snapped. I went absolutely berserk and beat him to the floor. I only stopped kicking him when two friends came over and got inbetween him and me. After that the kid barely looked at me again. He certainly didn't get up in a hurry.

I was bullied a lot in school.... for as long as I can remember (K-12).... and for really stupid things too, but it made it really hard for me to make friends, or if I did, made it hard for me to trust them even now...

Kid began picking on me, so I started a fight with him. I lost and got my stomach pounded, but he stopped picking on me and maybe respected that I wasn't going to take it. Apparently the Head was pleased that I'd gone for it as all I got was a single detention.

Later in school most of the harassment came from the younger years, who seemed to have no respect for their elders. Lets just say that I didn't have much patience for them, and most of the time I won ^_^

That said, my school was a pretty posh one and such incidents were few and far between.

Yep, sometimes it works, other times it makes everything worse.
