For those who havent, it's a humiliating experience let me tell you, regardeless of whether you know you were in the right or wrong when it happened.

I was working with a conservation group, a bunch of half-arsed misfits who never had anything better to do that sit around at the eatery table and aybe take a walk out bush so we could dig a hole. Now, I wouldnt have minded that so much, except that out "Team Leader" was an incompetent dipshit who didnt have the faintest grasp on not only what we were supposed to be doing, but even on the town we lived in. I arrived five minutes late one day, and had to explain to her that it was because of the traffic (because people in my town go to work early, pretty normal I thought). She grilled me because she thought I was lying.

Anyway, the mainr eason I was fired is because I took three people in my car to a servo at lunchtime. And thats it. I told her we were going but she didnt listen to me, and screamed me down when I got back for not letting her know. I was fired the next day, so I told her to "get fucked" over the phone.

Anyway thats my sob story. As you can tell by my whiny tone, I think I was in the right, but what are some of your stories?

Ugh. Bosses can be such assholes, can't they? I don't think I've ever heard a positive story about someone's boss...

Anyway, I've been fired once before. I even made a thread about it here a while ago. I used to work at a children's day care centre and, according to my ***** boss, a lot of the parents didn't feel comfortable letting a teenage male take care of their children, so she fired me and let the two dumbass college girls stay instead... fucking bullshit.

Just once, when I got sick and missed 10 weeks of work. I hadn't been with the company long enough to qualify for my job to be protected, so they fired me. I would have understood that, but they acted like everything was fine, then dropped it on me when I was released back to work. I could have spent my long, boring recovery looking for a new job.

Yes. Twice. Once for truancy and once for tardiness. I deserved the one but to this day I hotly contest the other. I'm not going to get more specific than that.

what's a servo? And what job did you do?

Anyway, nope, not really. The only job i've ever had was a part time job and i've been in it since he hired me a year ago. And I get a snazzy new title to go along with it so I'm glad I managed to avoid losing it.
A servo is short for service station. Fuel bowsers. And I didnt really have a job title, none of us did. We were all just a bunch of labourers basically, except we never really did much work on account of our "team leaders" total incompetance. Another girl was fired after I was, and two others quit.
