I ask this because me and my dad where watching a TV quiz one of the question who wrote Never Gonna Let you down (they played a segment of the song)
also a while ago I was watching family Guy and it was that episode where Peter travels back to the 80,s Brian played the song during the prom
even longer ago I was a trainee at a electrics store where to song played on the radio
PS unless my computer is wrong this IS off-topic (unless its moved)

Wrong forum mate, this is for forum games and RP, get a mod to move this to Off-topic.

OT: I've heard it on the radio a couple of times, that's it though.

Yes, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade a few years ago. Remember?

I've Rick Roll'd someone in person, I asked her if she was ever gonna give me up, ever gonna let me down etcetera, she remained oblivious until I burst into song.

Ninja'd. I was laughing so hard at that -- I usually hate the parade, but get roped into watching it by my little sister. That time, it was totally worth it; I can't believe Cartoon Network managed to get Rick Astley himself to rickroll the entire country :p

No, but I've always wanted to. I always wanted to edit in Never Gonna Give You Up in the middle of another song and send it to someone and have them listen to it. Also, a friend of mine said he found out how to change the WoW intro music, I thought it would be hilarious to change it when someone wasn't looking so that every time they boot up WoW they get Rick Rolled ^^

Yes. Someone claimed to be showing me a video on their Zune... little did I know it was THAT video.

Also, I once heard it played on the PA in CVS. Haven't gone in there since.

I had a friend come over once a few weeks back, and he had the song playing on his Ipod when he walked in the door, with the headphones in his pocket, he kept it just loud enough to where you couldn't really tell what it was for a while. So we spent like 3 minutes in silence with me just thinking "Theres just..no way.".

I've never been rick-rolled in real life, but...
I have rick-rolled a member of this site and long time member of the Escapist IRC channel, Aeryn, by love letter <3
Hehehe, that was funny. She didn't expect it, she only expected a letter with a gift :D

No, but I did have this plan to rick-roll the entire school at the talent show during my senior year, but my friends that were going to help me backed out

I haven't (yet), but I did write some of the lyrics down on a piece of paper and got a friend of mine to read it, claiming it was the start to a new short story. He got a laugh out of it.

I had a friend who had bought some sort of alarm clock which woke you up to the sound of a random song on your iPod, his brother then proceeded to take his iPod in the middle of the night, move all the songs off of it and put Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give you Up" on it.

needless to say it wasn't the most pleasant awakening for him.

Once the radio had it on when I was heading back home by car, and seeing as my dad was the one in control of the radio, we didn't change stations.

The thing me and my older sister found funny is that our younger sister didn't even recognise that we were being Rick-rolled.

In music class a friend of mine Rick Rolled everyone by playing the song when our teacher asked him to put on a song.

Heh, I was in a theater that was rickrolled. The movie was just about to start and the lights went down, everyone got quiet, and just before the pre-movie "The exits are..." vid, the delightful stylings of Rick Astley suddenly filled the room from someone's cell phone. A bunch of us cracked into laughter. It was aesome.

I've rickrolled people in real life, I have a segment of it recorded on my phone so its a perfect little joke to bring some humor into the day.

Yes, I was sent a package by Vicseral that apparently contained info on Dantes Inferno, was infact a recording of a rick roll and a hammer... No, i lie. That was Yahtzee...Damn I wish I was Yahtzee :(

I was once though texted by my friend at 3 in the morning, waking me and that it was an emergancy and had to phone him. It was a rick roll. As cranky as it made me, I had to laugh.

I heard it on the radio once.

I don't really hate the song. It's not that bad, it's just really over-used.
