No, that would be horribly unproductive.

However, I did break some old game CDs, not out of rage but because they have outlived their usefulness and were rather damaged. Those tiny sharp shards make good pieces for a mosaic...

I really don't get the whole "nerd-rage" thing. I do get pissed off sometimes, everyone does, but I never saw a point in damaging your own property. If you want to damage something or someone, target those you hate, not what you own.

I once broken a copy of a Heroes of Might and Magic (can't remember the version, might have been 3) in anger once. To be fair it wasn't actually at the game. I really felt like playing it but the case was so stiff it wouldn't come out of the hold and I ended up snapping the disk in my attempt to wrench it free. I was sorely dissapointed as all I wanted to do was play the game.

After one of my discs stopped working even though it wasn't damaged I snapped it into pieces out of frustration. That's the only time I can think of, though.

and then took out my rage on my old gamecube because it kept frezzing but that goes to show i did have a rage problem but i fixed it well..not me intentally she help too

Never. I'm realy anal about making sure I keep my stuff from being damaged. I'd hate to be in the mood to play a game and then remember I broke it after losing my temper.

I've totaled a Computer mouse by smashing it into the desk continuously. Never gonna do that again. I usually refrain from breaking things when I get mad.

No, i have never busted a game up... by the time i'd get too it i'd probably be over the rage. What i have done is broken 3 controllers, smashed by dresser into little wooden chips (try explaining that one to the parental units), broken my hand smashing a dresser into wooden chips (makes explaining a little easier "We got in a fight").

Mostly though i curse. By the way... holy shit the words that come out of my mouth even i am ashamed of me.

Not to get all judgmental but in all honesty it always has made me raise an eyebrow when people say they have broken games or controllers in a rage when a game frustrates them.

It's just a game...To me, that kind of behavior just implies that maybe they have an anger management issue. I have a few friends that do this and they get so mad when playing games...throwing rock band drumstick at the tv, chucking controllers against walls, punching the wall, screaming and swearing (and not jokingly). I don't play games with them anymore because they actually frighten me. What happens if I frag them one to many times? Are they going to chuck something at me next? Its not worth it even playing with them.


I don't know about you guys but I play games to destress, not to get stressed...if anything bothers me that much I usually take a deep breath and reevaluate why I am even doing that thing in the first place.

Yes - Metal Slug Anthology on the PS2

Some of those levels were SO frustrating. After dying for the 100th time on the same level, I took the game out and spent 10 minutes stomping it into tiny bits with my shoes. I have no regrets, I hate that game.

I know it's a classic piece of arcade history, but fuck it.

As I stated in my other post I fuckin hate Spore. So i went outside strapped it to a target and shot a few arrows into it. But it was a ***** to clean up...

I've done it twice. Once was accidental. My copy of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories had a glitch where you can't exit the menu for organizing the deck. I was so pissed that I shook the DS I was playing it on, snapping the top part half-off.
The second time was intentional. The game I was playing (which shall remain anonymous) was so annoying that I threw the disk out of a window and into the street.

No, not me, but a former friend did.
We played Tekken Tag against each other, and I beat him 10 to 4.
He then knocked my chair over out of raged. I held on to the controller, his PS2 fell down from its stand and the game, the chair and his controller broke.

It was hilarious.
