I used to, too.

I never really sleep well, and never really have. It didn't affect me so much when I was younger, but as I got older (not that I'm old now), it started affecting me more and more, and I found it harder to retain information, among other things.

My dad recommended that I try something called "Gingko Biloba" which is a natural extract from a plant, which supposed supports healthy bloodflow to the brain (brain viagra).

I'd never really believed in anything like that before, but I can clearly feel a difference, and I can see a difference in the amount of effort I can put into my schoolwork too. Even if my body is tired, my mind's operating at 100% all the time.

If you suffer from lack of sleep or whatever, I highly recommend that you try it out. Any health food store should carry it. I take 90mg in the morning.

Just something I thought I'd share - I know that many gamers I know typically don't sleep very well, so I guessed it'd be of relevance.

I get this a lot actually and I may have to try it. Of course you could just do things like get more exercise and sleep more or... wait for them to develop that thing I heard about a while ago that's supposed to make sleep more efficient.

A polyphasic sleep pattern, yeah. Since the part of sleep that benefits you most is the REM (rapid eye movement) stage and that only occurs in the first parts of your sleep.

I find it very difficult to sleep, no matter how much exercise I'm having, what my diet's like, etc. My mother's the same, so perhaps it's genetic.

You might of well started a thread called... Ever felt like lack of food in you stomach causes hunger?

My problem is that my brain is always in overdrive, so even when I'm trying to sleep my brain is figuring out solutions to web design problems or thinking up creative turns of phrase. I usually don't go to bed until after 2am.
