The only game I bought to see how bad it was is Turning Point. The best part of it was the ending but at the same time they probably didn't know how to actually end it.

I did buy DNF but I didn't really care about the quality, I just wanted to play it.

You don't know it's bad until you play it. I like watching game reviews as much as the next guy, but Ive disagreed with plenty of them.
That being said, I usually only buy games that get a lot of hype (sometimes I even wait for those ones to reach the bargain bin) because I don't have a very large game budget and I have plenty of games that still need to be completed.

I do, then i remember drake of the 99 dragons and how it made me want to punt a puppy into a meat grinder.

the urge is then quelled.

not play a game, but I did go out of my way to read "My Immortal." Since reading it, I've developed a cold, and a liking for MCR and GC. That fanfic does bad things to people

I've had the urge occasionally. I've seen some gameplay footage of old PS1 games that look like a lot of fun to play through just to laugh at, like Overblood [http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/12/31/super-replay-overblood-part-1.aspx] an infamously bad survival horror/adventure game which has gathered a cult following recently.
You don't happen to be here [http://www.facebook.com/groups/121406084596447/], do you?

OT: Other than ^that^, Deadly Premonition, of course. I feel like I'd enjoy that hard.

I never buy a game I know will be supposedly bad just for the hell of it. I mean, I bought "Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days" even though most people said it was shit, but I actually enjoyed it a bit. And this is from someone who loathes the idea of regenerating health and cover-based shooting. Yes, the game itself isn't very spectacular, but the visuals and "filmed-by-a-cheesy-camcorder" filter are.

Although, I must admit that one game I would love to try is the abysmal "Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing". Just because it is the worst thing ever made. YouTube it. Just to give you guys an idea, there are no collision physics, even for a bridge you have to pass over, meaning you actually drive in the valley underneath it and you go the same speed in reverse as you do going forward. Oh, and the AI drivers don't move. Honestly.

Well I sometimes play Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire since I don't have a PS2 to play federation VS Zeon. But besides that, not really.

I came quite close to buying Call of Juarez the cartel simply because the ad had Pantera's 'Cowboys from Hell' on it.

I bought Earth Defense Force Insect Armageddon so that my friend and I could splitscreen coop it and make fun of the game. It was a TON of fun, even though the game itself is horrible.

I guess I am somewhat interested in trying out Bloodwings: Pumpkinhead's Revenge.

Don't know what it is? Here's a link to Spoony's review of it:

No. Bad games, unlike bad movies, are unable to be so bad that they're good. Bad games are usually unbearably frustrating and an all around unpleasant experience.

Sure, I've had the urge to play bad games.

There was Wind Waker...

and Twilight Princess...

and Skyward Sword.

These three games were all purchases that I regretted. Never again will I buy a Zelda game as long as Aonuma directs it. All of you script kiddies that will rush to flame me can kiss my hairy ass.

Of course. Sometimes I want to play Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Duke Nukem Forever, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, or things of that sort. I love these games. I love looking at long lists of how not to make a game, while in the process finding all the things I really like about the game and finding other, better games with those features. Hard to find a game like NiGHTS though.... may have to invest in a Sega Saturn...

You'll be back. One flash of the Triforce and you'll be grabbing Nintendo's Mater Sword faster than Sonic through a cocaine factory. Don't worry though... us poor addicted saps have plenty of company.

And yeah, I have an undeniably strong urge to play The old Republic. My head says no, but my heart, and my long neglected MMO cravings cry proceed.

Not that it's a bad game or anything, just probably not worth the $60 or subscription.
