I'm sure many of us have been there. A game where we're so obsessed with it we dream about it, and when we wake up, it's the first thing that comes to our minds, and we don't stop thinking about it until we start playing it.

So what are they? And what part of the game do you instinctively think about first?

For about 3 weeks now I haven't woken up thinking about anything other than Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI. Constantly thinking where my little soldiers will go next, which region I need to invade next, etc.

I assume like many people i've had my fair share of dreams about Tetris. It's always then I know to take a haitus from it for a while. It always tends to be a bad dream too, I keep waiting for the long block but it never comes that illusive bastard.

Firstly that tachikoma is hilarious. Secondly yes, fallout 3 and mass effect have bot had their turns. More recently Bastion got in. I have had a few more but don't remember any more.

Never had a crossover dream before, but it sounds entertaining.

I dream of game combinations sometimes. Normally a game I have been playing a lot recently, the world of GTA4 and sometimes a random game. My personal favorite was Minecraft in liberty city with tons of L4D zombies.

Funny you should ask that.

I recently had a dream where I was in Skyrim and doing a mission for the Dark Brotherhood, I had to kill someone for not paying a debt that was pretty large and the person wanted them dead also wanted them dead because they were hitting on this one chick that they liked. Whatever, I took the contract, and after that, shit got very very weird.

All I know was that later the horse I got from the Dark Brotherhood was giving me orders.

I played Paper Mario TTYD when I was sick a really long time ago, and you know how the period between falling and being asleep when you're sick is really trippy? That was filled with that game.

Some years ago I had a dream involving Snake infiltrating what looked like a main hall from some research center, and then I had him run up some stairs. A year later, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was released and it was nice surprise that the area "Weapons Lab: East Wing" (or that area were you steal the uniform of that Raiden look-alike) looked a lot like that area I dreamed a year ago.
And in 2006 I just had one dream about Snake infiltrating some warehouse in the Middle East, but after playing Guns of the Patriots I never found anything resembling what I dreamed.

I think Elisa would be proud of me.

Which was wierder? Wrex in the same universe as a bunch of little japanese schoolgirls, or when one of them strapped him to a table and fed him both sets of his intestines?

I remember months upon months ago when Minecraft's Survival was still rather new. I played the living hell out of it on a server with a bunch of people for days. Then went to Classic just to build with people.

One night I remember seeing a quick scene. Cube arm. Lift up to cover eyes from the glaring square sun shining through the square trees. And that told me I'd had enough Minecraft for a while.

Also, there was this one time with Mario, but then there was a horse and fucking Clifford the Big Red Dog for some reason...and a piece of cake. That shit was wierd.

I have this in spades. Not so much dreams, though, it's when I'm just waking up. Suddenly, being captured by Caesar's Legion is an altogether more real experience at 7am when my girlfriend has woken me, and at that time, I think nothing of rattling off some excuse for staying in bed, because Caesar's Legion are at the door and are waiting for me to just try and escape.

Seriously. The worst part of it all is at that point, I'm well aware I'm making no damn sense, but my brain still runs with it.

How is Albion Prelude? I bought it during the Great 2011 Steam Sale but I need a better machine to run it.

OT: I've had several games invade my dreams over the years from the old 2D Prince of Persia games to X3: Reunion and more recently Terraria. It happens whenever I really get into a game and it gets even worse when I get stuck in a game. I'll dream about solutions to whatever is giving me trouble, and sometimes the solutions do actually present themselves.

TF2 and Star Wars Battlefront, both after spending at least a day doing almost nothing else.

The TF2 one was also weird because it acted as a sequel to a dream I'd had a few days earlier, too.

I'm not sure, since I hardly remember my dreams. I do remember having a dream where my 12 yr old bro was sucking badly at SF4. I don't know why, since we haven't played that in at least a year. I got Continuum Shift a few months after it came out and never looked back.

I was like "ok..I want to wake up now..I want to wake up NOW"

On numerous occasions, the funniest of which are the dreams in which I come up with new answers and strategies to certain conundrums in-game. Most memorable would be figuring out several points in the Discworld game on what to do and how to do it when stuck.
