Unless you consider suicide a serious option you can't do much besides deal with it.

You should enjoy what you have, among them the means to survive and cheap enough Internet access to post an essentially pointless rant.
i'll admit that it was a rant but not a pointless one because its proven to me that at least some people care about others and not just whacking one off on the internet
So if we don't feel bad for you and try to help you(an unknown internet person) we don't care about others? darn it
Well if your life totally sucks now you'll probably be something really cool in your next life.. like a crocodile, or a king or something..

Assert yourself as a certified badass. You know, don't let people pus you around, buy a gun, get into a fight and win etc.

wow one person who doesn't just think 'kill him he's sad!' at least i now know that their is one person in the world who doesnt want to screw up my life
Oh seriously you don't think we want to kill you because you're sad? No, we'd rather do that if you're threads aren't constructive, or if they're flamebait.

Not everyone hates you. Assuming and stating that everyone does won't help your chances, though.

Ditto. It's been proved that eating sweets makes you feel happy, so stock up on chocolate cake or something. Or play an immersive video game. Whenever I'm blue I pop in a nice RTS game and the hours just seem to pass by happily.

if you have a computer that runs it, i heartily recommend Supreme Commander.
set the AI to easy, and resources to high etc, then piss the AI(s) about. pull their legs of like they're insects. play with that magnifing glass! nothing makes me lol more than watching the AI wriggle and squerm whilst my barrage of 100 nukes crash into them and tear them apart. make their ends spectacular

Life is often a pile of shit, but it is never as bad as it feels when you are depressed. Make sure you are getting enough sleep, because sleep deprivation will make you even more depressed as well as feeling trapped by your life. Find something that makes you happy, reading, listening to music, playing an instrument, playing a game, so that when you feel like you can't take it anymore, you have something you can do that lets you forget about everything else. I strongly encourage you to try and find even one good friend that you can hang out with. Not necessarily to talk about your problems, although that's good too, but it is simply much harder to fell depressed and alone if you are having fun with another human being. I would advise against drugs and alcohol, because you will never learn how to deal with life if every time you get depressed you simply get hammered or high. If nothing I listed here appeals to you, the last option is therapy. I honestly think it is a waste of time, you are in essence paying someone to listen to you, but sometimes someone to listen is what is needed. See your doctor and get on some anti-depressants for as long as you need. Lastly, I would avoid asking for help on the internet. What you need is a real live person, not anonymous posters giving live advice or telling you to quit whining and kill yourself already.

life is shit. think it get's better? Think again. Just pop some pills like I do and don't act nice to anyone. Seeing someone in pain and laughing at them for it is what gets me through the day.

Have you ever had a day when everythig has gone wrong? I have... its caled everyday.
I have alcoholic parents who hate me and the rest of my family don't want to know me! all of my 'friends' hate me and they steal any girl who i care about. i get bullied daily at school and i think i am going crazy because i have along list of people i wish didn't exist that includes my Dad and me
Seriously man, life sucks, deal with it, but don't post here just to get pity.

In fact, you're more likely to get criticism than pity. There's nothing people hate more than a self-centered attention-whore (signiture phrase: "You don't understand [me]!") and I'm one of them. Make up excuses all you want about "looking for advice" but you really just want people to say "Aw, I can't believe all you've been through! You deserve better, let me give you some love."

I suggest finding a hobby or working out your problems on your own instead of appealing to everyone else for attention. I'm sorry to come off so harsh but I'm sure you'd rather me do it than a potential friend/girlfriend who you just scared off because you're wrapped in self-pity.

Good luck man, I really mean it.

Sometimes, I have an off day. When this happens, I can't do as well as I normally do in martial arts training (ie, I get tired more easily), but the best thing to do is keep pushing myself anyway.

Usually, the worst things that happen to me are something along the lines of "I wanted to do (insert interesting thing) here, but due to unexpected shit happening and ruining my plans, I can't do what I want to, so now that I have nothing to do, I'm just going to be bored and piss time away."

Worst case scenario, my life is boring, but comfortable. I have it pretty well off.

If you really feel like shit, I'm gonna have to pull an Ares Tyr here and recommend that you take up martial arts.
so what martial art do YOU do? i'd recommend it as stress relief more than anything, or is it just because i do the Zanshin Fed. branch of Full Contact Goju Rhu?

that shit can cause some serious fuck-ups if your pissed. examples: broke 5 tiles with my hand, kicked the pad so hard it broke through a double-glazed window, broke a guys hand by punching the pad he was holding.
it's a pretty savage varient of Goju, but i wouldn't have it any other way
I have 3 different martial arts classes that I take.

The first one that I took, 7 months ago, was a fitness kickboxing type class. It's more of a cardio workout-type thing than anything. The class pretty much entirely consists of stretches and variations of "hit the punching bag/pad repeatedly for a minute." Hell of a good stress relief and way to build stamina. It's a really good class for beginners to take. Unfortunately, there's no sparring/contact, but at least I have my MMA class for that.

The second one that I started doing, 3 months ago, was Mixed Martial Arts, which consists of mainly Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the occasional Boxing and Muay Thai thrown in. Usually the classes end up with us doing some on-ground grappling sparring, but there has been the occasional kickboxing style stand up sparring.

The third one, which I started this month, was Kenpo. Not much in the way of stress relief, but at least there's a decent workout at the starting with the heavy gi that I wear.

Overall, though, the stuff I've been through is rather tame compared to your experiences. The most "oh shit" thing that I experienced was bleeding a little bit once when I got punched in the mouth during sparring (wasn't wearing a mouthguard).

EDIT: Sorry to derail the topic, but it seems the topic creator's concerns have already been addressed.

Achievement Unlocked- Misleading title.

It should be "I've just had one in a long series of those days, and don't really want to hear about yours." I'm bummed, because I had a hilarious one of those days to share with the crowd, but I can't because the door was slammed shut on it by the OP. He just gave me one of those days. Guess the airplane, brick and sheep story will have to wait for another thread.

Oh- have a Lo-Jack installed on your girl in case of theft. Hope that helps.

Or you could just do what I did and ignore the initial "my life sucks" post and follow up with my own "Yeah, I've had one of those days" post. Contributing your story to the thread will make it more interesting.

As simple as it sounds, just count your blessings and remember that there are a lot more people out in the world who have it a heck of a lot worse than you.

Also, the more you think about how bad your situation is, and the more you feel sorry for yourself, the worse it will be. Even if you don't feel like it, just try to be positive about things.

If you want to vent, make a MySpace or LiveJournal or Facebook or.. Whatever they are and vent on there. Hopefully that will help a bit.

Or just play a sad song and turn it around.

Well said. It doesn't really cost us anything to give him a pat on the back, if that's all he needs.

As some people have pointed out already, things will get better. You'll go through numerous periods such as this in life, but keep in mind that they're periods and will end. "After rain comes sunshine", and all that. Things might feel hopeless right now, but you have your whole future ahead of you, no matter how clichéd it might sound.

"It can only go up from here!"
