I was listening to another brick in the wall by pink floyd and when I looked it up on YouTube all I found was this nonepic shit by another band, have you dashing escapists had the same nuisance occur? What song was it? Did it make you want to splinter cell your way through 6 continents in order to stab the songmaker in the throat?[footnote] the author of this post is aware that it is not always the song makers fault, if this disturbs you too much then imagine the words tree hugger or redneck in it's place.[/footnote]

But Another Brick in the Wall does have an epic video.

EDIT: Actual music starts at the 2:20-ish mark.

then code it right!
Sometimes you need to refresh the page to make embedded videos work on this site, the video works fine for me.

Diary Of a Madman,
also, I mistook the lyric "enter me" for "intervene" which I thought was a better lyric, but alas it wasn't meant to be.

Viva la Vida, definitely. What wasted potential.
wait that got a video...

OT: Synthesizer by The Electirc six...
O Green World by the Gorillaz...
and Radio Friendly Unit Shifter by Nirvana... though to be fair Kurt Cobain did kill himself soon after this album was released...

I think the problem with viva la vida though is that not even the song writers knew what the fuck was going on.

People still watch videos? I thought that went out the window with MTV actually having anything remotely to do with music.
Seriously, no I can't think of anything, epic songs don't always need a video. And on the internet, your favorite epic song probably has an Anime clipped video attached to it...

Basically all the Beatles videos are really quite shit except the ones where its just them performing (like all you need is love) but this is especially rubbish.

Fucking awesome song though

Man that was a bad video to one of the best songs I've ever listened to.

A little song called Boner, by a punk band from my city, called The Secretions.

I literally cannot find it ANYWHERE, except their Myspace page. Except for a cover of it by Tony Silva on Youtube, that was awesome.

Huh? What? I loved that video! Then again, I love Coldplay's videos anyway in general, they come up with some really awesome stuff. For example, The Scientist (which as a film-maker myself I realise that would have been fairly easy to film, but a massive challenge for Chris Martin to get the mouth movements right...), Strawberry Swing, and Life In Technicolour II.

On that note, another band who come up with amazing videos as well as amazing music is 30 Seconds To Mars. Just watch the full video for The Kill, or for From Yesterday, and tell me otherwise. Although to be fair, the lead singer (Jared Leto) is also a fairly acclaimed actor and film-maker anyway (he's not especially famous as an actor but he's been in a few well-known films, and he had a lead role in Requiem For A Dream...).

As for the topic in hand, good songs with bad/non-existent videos, I can't really say I've seen any like that. Although I wasn't a big fan of the video for Linkin Park's 'Shadow Of The Day'. Though to be fair, although I loved Minutes To Midnight, that was probably my least favourite song from the album anyway...

The irony is, Linkin Park usually come up with amazing videos for their songs (at least, in my opinion). So I was kind of saddened by the lack in quality of Shadow Of The Day. Especially when you compare to songs from that same album; I absolutely loved the videos for 'What I've Done' and for 'Leave Out All The Rest' - Sunshine/Danny Boyle references FTW :D

Really? This song is so bad ass, and the music video is a complete failure. This could have been amazing, just following the lyrics and doing some Moby Dick references. I've come to expect more from a band this intelligent.
