Paradox Games (CK,EU,HoI,etc). I love the nation-building, but it seems that I am not qualified to be a Machiavellian autocrat. It makes me feel pathetic.

DEadspace. To scary for me. Ended up trading it for Viva pinata.
And you have Grunt as your avatar? For shame, man, but Viva Pinata was much better than Dead Space in my opinion.
Lolz.

I'm going with Mortal Kombat. I was never good at fighting games, but I can muster up a few combos. I love the atmosphere of the series. It was perfect.

As someone who can't hack horror games, it took me an absolute age to get through Amnesia... had to stop every fifteen minutes to make sure I hadn't soiled myself and check I wasn't about to have some sort of infarction.
I have still yet to get past probably what someone could get through in 15 minutes of playing that i managed to drag out into 2 hours. When I had gotten it, I was determined to play it at midnight with only my computer screen lighting the room. After a certain point I just stopped playing because I felt I was making no progress.

On the topic of Silent Hill, check out Silent Hill, Silent Hill 2, and Silent Hill 3. Its a different experience from Amnesia, but still an amazing one. I don't know if I would recommend any of the the ones after 3 as I haven't played them.

Dwarf Fortress. Love the game, but I'm terrible at it.
*Everyone* is terrible at DF to start with, that's ind of the point.

I loved the X-Com series, but I never got very far in any of them. I basically just got murdered by the aliens right out of the gate every time.
