Ever Meet a Celebrity by Surprise?

Closest i have been to meeting someone famous must have been Michael Jackson atleast that's what my parents told i was about 5 yrs old and my mom and dad where invited to the backstage and met apparently no kids where allowed back there so they left me at the entrance.

Met a couple of swedish artists, most notably Arash, he was kinda happy that someone actually recognized him but he didn't have much time so couldn't strike up a conversation with him:/

I saw Nichlas Cage.
He was very small, and very bald.

Also tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in the elevator of a hotel.
Tom cruise was much shorter than Nicole.

Once met Julia Stiles (main chick in Bourne Identity trilogy), when she was acting in a different film that was being shot in my city. Other than that, I've met plenty of local celebrities that none of you have ever heard of.

Geoffrey Rush was our neighbor back when we lived in Melbourne. We frequently saw him tending his shrubs in the backyard, which was rather amusing. Occasionally when me and some friends were outside he'd come up to the fence and put on his Barbossa voice. The first time he did it, we weren't quite clear on who he actually was, we got so freaked out, we didn't go into the yard till we found out who he actually is.

Well there's Craig Charles but that doesn't count seeing how he was in the expo signing autographs.

The only one I can think of is Paul Abbott aka creator of Shameless (UK). It was after watching a film in the University film club that he and some others show up as they wanted to use the room for some reason (he did used to study in that University). The other members of the club started to chat to him but I just left. Sure I did watch the first few seasons of that show but I wasn't exactly over the moon when I saw him.

I didn't actually meet him, but I saw Sinbad just walking around at Universal Studios.

A friend of mine once shared an elevator with Jewel Staite.

When I was a pre-teen, my mom took me to an Italian festival in Boston and I met Leonard Nimoy. I also got his autograph and a big smile.

This one time I walked by J&R Music in lower Manhattan just as Liza Minelli was exiting.

I haven't, but my dad (a HUGE hockey fan) found himself a few rows away from Maurice Richard (one of the most famous hockey player ever) at a baseball game once.

According to dad, they locked eyes, Maurice Looked nervous (probably worried that if his presence was announced he'd have to fill out millions of autographs and stuff and he wouldn't be able to enjoy the game), and my dad just nodded at him and didn't draw any more attention to him.

My dad likes to bring that up every once in a while.
