Ever play a game too much and it carries over into real life?

I'm sure at least some other people do this, but I find that after playing certain games I begin to unintentionally see thinks through the filter of the game. Today after playing Dawn of War for a while I was watching tv. The characters were about to leave the house and in my head I click-dragged over them to select and then right clicked them out the door. The other example I can think of is after playing Oblivion I saw a wooden crate and wanted to search it for a repair hammer.

Well, after playing Postal 2 for a while, I caught myself thinking that I should bust a cap in that *****, but I didn't.

There have been a few times where it was dark out and I felt I was likely to be eaten by a grue.

There have been a few times where a very extended session of Rock Band followed by playing actual guitar made doing chords harder than usual. I can't really think of anything else beyond that. I'm not too impressionable when it comes to games.

I've tried to quicksave before doing things a couple of times in real life.

Yes. Minesweeper.

If I play too much of that mother-loving game, it Tetris-effects in my mind. All I can think about is an infinite board for up to a half an hour before I can re-collect my thoughts.

Only when I don't sleep and I play a lot of a certain game.

One night I stayed up incredibly late making a level in LittleBigPlanet, it wouldn't get out of my head. My dream was about LBP and even waking up I thought about LBP.

I hate playing games while being tired, I mean I like playing games but... ah you know what I mean.

Ever play Grand Theft Auto four like, 6 hours and then have to drive somewhere? There's a lesson in "Oh wait, I can't do that."

And hilarity ensued!

AC2 had me thinking of getting across the city scape. Damn you city parks!

After a particularly long Fallout Binge, I found myself trying to check my Pipboy 3000. I even tried to turn on the light once when I stepped outside one night.

Modern Warfare 2

I've seen or heard planes overhead, and immediately thought they were an enemy UAV or AC130. Luckily, I've realized they weren't before running for cover.
