Ever played through a game, beat it, and still not know what's going on?

I played and loved Final Fantasy 12 and Kingdom Hearts 2, but I'll be damned if I knew what was going on. I don't remember what Vanye doing, but I was under the impression the council or at least the nights wanted Lasra on the throne. (correct me if I'm wrong. The plot of KH2 Sora runs around killing heartless and nobodies, while still looking for Riku and Kairi. Maleficient and Pete are house hunting, and the organization is causing mischeif.

Halo 3, which was disappointing because I do like the Halo series. For some reason, I couldn't hear a damn thing that they were saying in the cutscenes on my first runthrough. I turned on subtitles for the second and figured everything out.

Splinter Cell 3, all those names, all those countries with their splinterfactions..took me about 6 playthroughs to understand WHY i was doing the missions i was doing..

I'm surprised no one has brought up Metal Gear Solid 2. Even after 2 walkthroughs, I still don't know what was going on, considering the Xanatos trope was way too confusing in this one.

If FF12 and KH2 confused you, never play Chrono Cross.

I think had to watch the ending of Killer 7 about 5 times before I could even come close to an explanation that made sense. After that it took another week or 2 for me to figure out what all the random weird crap in the game meant.
