Halo 3, I was a bit confused about why I was doing anything.

I mean, I got all the references and all that, but it seemed rather confusing compared to the last two.

I'm a massive HaloTard and I have no idea what the hell was going on...Then again, I was also always a bit confused by Halo 1, which Halo 3 seems to ref the most...So yeah.

Condemned the original. Posting why will spoil what little 'twist' this game offers. Gameplay is awesome but the story is all over the place.

Dont even get me started on the sequel.

Metal Gear Solid 2

You stop listening to one cutscene and then the whole story from thereonwads becomes nonsense.

Metal Gear Solids 2 and 4. 2 was just confusing, 4 just had so...so...SO much CRAP to give you that I actually stopped caring about it by the time they went into that Tekken style punchup.

o_O KH2 and FFXII were relatively easy to follow. Maybe I'm wrong though...
KH2 is impossible to understand unless you've played KH1 AND are at least familiar with the plot of Chain of Memories. There's a video floating around that consists of every dialogue and cutscene from CoM so newbies can catch up.

FFXII showed a major departure from the FF series' stories. Most of them are about "save the world from the unspeakable evil" and involve stuff that's way larger than life, including epic love stories. XII dealt mostly with political intrigue, and the Big Bad's motivation, IIRC, pretty much plateaued at "I can do a lot of damage and want to rule an empire." THAT made it confusing for me, although I did play it more than 3 years ago, so I might understand it better now. :)

Had no understading of KH2, FF12 and Blue Dragon (although I haven't beaten Blue Dragon yet)

The pattern? JRPGS. I like them but I'll be damned if I know what's going on

The first time that happened to me was with the game Xenogears. I didn't have a handle on the plot until after the third time I finished it.

I never got the Kingdom Hearts games... those guys who look just like people, but don't have any hearts... they've got no reason to attack anything or being attacked, far as I could see.

It just looked like the main character, Donald Duck and Goofy went around being assholes to guys in black robes.
Yeah I thought so too, I'm playing KH:DS right now and the only thing the organization seems to be doing is investigating places for heartless and sending Roxas and Xion to dispatch them...not really evil.

I played and loved Final Fantasy 12 and Kingdom Hearts 2, but I'll be damned if I knew what was going on. I don't remember what Vanye doing, but I was under the impression the council or at least the nights wanted Lasra on the throne.
Yes, I often found it hard to understand what was going on, mainly because some twit doing the English dubbing decided to translate the Japanese to annoying Shakespear drool.

The locations were pretty though.

Warcraft III. I thought i knew what happened, what with arthas and the legion decimating most of the world, but then WoW came out and everything was A-OK, which lead me to wonder exactly what had actually happened in WCIII.

Halo 3, which was disappointing because I do like the Halo series. For some reason, I couldn't hear a damn thing that they were saying in the cutscenes on my first runthrough. I turned on subtitles for the second and figured everything out.
Rookie mistake. Always turn on subtitles right away. Saves you time and energy trying to figure out what people are saying.

Half-Life 2. Didn't really know what I was doing or why by the time I finished. Fortunately, Episode 1 & 2 seemed to help fill in the blanks.
To be fair, that was kind of the point. =p

Braid. I still don't fully understand it.
Don't worry, neither does the creator of the game.

Just look at the Tirisfal Glades, Plaguelands, Ghostlands and Felwood zones in WoW and you'll get your answer. :)
