Long time, first time, Advice Forum-ites.

Some of you might know me from my other work for this site over the years. Today, however, I'm happy to announce that The Escapist has asked me to write LoveFAQs, a weekly love/dating advice column that launches in the next few weeks. And I'm currently looking for reader submissions.

Got questions? I got answers.

I'm not a psychiatrist. Or a therapist. I'm not even a dentist. But I have survived a long string of comically awful relationships ? Dumped by Gmail! Cheated on with a snake handler! Wooed by a bisexual cheerleader who called himself Batman! ? and I still somehow found the love of my life. So hopefully, I can help you find yours too.

No question?s too strange or too saucy, and your identity will always be kept confidential and anonymous. And I promise I'll always give it to you straight. No platitudes, no cop-outs. In fact, think of me as your older sister, if your older sister were a foul-mouthed, hard-drinking math geek who could kick your ass in Smash Brothers.

So if you have any burning questions on love, dating and relationships, feel free to drop me a line at advice@escapistmag.com.

Solid. While i don't exactly have any problems in my relationship to seek help with (we're far from perfect though!), it will be interesting to see what comes of this. Good luck on this endeavor.

Sounds like a good idea. I can recall how popular Bonsai's relationship advise thread was, so this sounds like it may be a good idea.

It could do with some cheat codes, definitely.

An FAQ would be great as a full walkthrough would be too complex.

Thanks, everyone! I can't wait.

If you've got juicy questions, feel free to send 'em in. We've already received a few good head-scratchers so far, but the more the better.

Deckayed -- NO FREEBIES. You know the email. ;)

Or maybe just a tutorial level, or at least an autosave option...

This seems interesting. I look forward to reading it =)

Now to send in a question. If only I could word it so that it didn't sound like a Dear Abby question =P

Is this going to be similar to Bonsaik's? Like are you going to publicly show you're answer's, or is it just for emailer who ask you. I have I feeling you would be answering quite a few repeat questions

It's going to be a weekly column, starting next Friday (if everything goes to plan). Think Dear Abby, with more sex and fewer pie recipes. Although don't get me wrong: I love pie.

Wait, how can you have more sex without more pie too? I'm so confused...

+1. I approve of this direction. FAQs for anything are good, but for something this complex...They hand these out in school. Or something. XD

What we really need is quick-save and quick-load.

OT: I'm really looking forward to this.

I don't even CARE if it's quick or not. If I had multiple save slots...holy crap I would have tone of them in use!

This just reminds me of Family Guy, "You see Meg, you're what they call a 'practice girl'" - Peter

There is an autosave option. It happens right after you screw up and overwrites any previous saves.

I think one huge point in dating is the perception of self and others. I feel like everyone wants to see their self as a unique individual with hundreds of little quirks and features (rightfully so, I might add), but then their search for a mate is confined by little more than "looking for a boyfriend-free girlfriend."

So, my little tidbit of advice for all the single people out there is to work down your characteristics into a simple bite-sized description. Breaking down your own dreams and desires can bring better insight into the kind of person you're looking for. Be specific, and finding that special someone can feel extremely satisfying.

Maybe touch on that at some point or another?
