I can barely remember half the stuff I had for dinner last week. You seriously think I can remember every game I have ever played? Madness.

I just finished writing a too big list for the actors/actresses thread. I've also been playing games since I could properly hold a controller. I'm not up for the challenge my friend. *hangs head*

Fuck no... I'd be typing up a list for days.

As it is, I've bought at least 500 games over the years, and played more than double that (at least.)

More recently I got rid of a lot of the ones I used to own and have only been keeping/buying games I replay many times over, but even then, my current collection I've kept is still just under 300 games and rising as I have a ton of wishlisted games I like a lot.

Not to mention, the number of games I've actually completed would be tedious to type out already considering the last time I counted a year ago it was around 140 and I've completed a lot more since then...

Ugh.

im not mentioning anything pre sega, or gameboy/nds games, or casual games and only games i have played a respectable portion of.
crash bandicoot 1+2, tony hawks pro skater 1+underground 2, crash team racing, earth worm jim, yugioh forbidden memories, road rash 2, zombies ate my neighbours, streets of rage, medievil 1+2, golden axe. theres definitely a few more for the sega and ps1 but i cant remember them.
timesplitters 2+3, GTA:1+3+4+vc+sa+lcs+vcs, spiderman 2, a few james bond games, scrapland, gun, midtown madness 3, all halo games, amped, fable 1+2, elder scrolls 3+4, mechassault 2, chronicles of riddick escape from butcher bay, the godfather, mercenaries, sims 1,2+urbz, ghost recon island thunder, unreal championship 2, stubbs the zombie, dragonball z (cant remember which one for the xbox)+shin budokai. definitely some others for ps2 and probably others for xbox.
monster hunter freedom: 1+unite, pursuit force, god of war(the first one for psp), battlefield 1943+bc+bc2, project gotham racing 4, just cause 1+2, burnout paradise, ufc 2009, portal 1+2, call of duty 4+5+6, red dead redemption, left for dead 2, gears of war 1+2, fallout 3, mass effect, assassins creed 1+2, geometry wars evolved 2, dead rising, beautiful katamari, two worlds, undertow, red faction guerrilla, dragon age origins, saints row 2, TC's end war, borderlands, crackdown, too human, half life 2+ep.1+ep.2, beowulf.

Looks like i need to stay in and play more games, get this list up to scratch! Looking back some of the combinations of games i have played are very weird, like the fact ive played all of the gta games except no.2

EDIT: how could i forget these?: hitman 2, bioshock, age of empires 3+mythology, doom, shinobi, metal gear solid 2, spyro the dragon, the rugrats(for ps1), the simsons road rage, knights of the old republic, lord of the rings two towers+return of the king, ico, guitar hero 4, serious sam(xbox)
If you're actually interested in playing GTA 2, and not just noticing that it's the one GTA game you've never played, I've got good news: Rockstar released it as legal freeware a while back. Here's the link.

OT: Sorry, OP, I'm going to have to agree with most of the other posters in this thread. I currently own well over 200 PC games alone -- that's not counting any of my console or handheld games, just a lifetime of PC gaming, and not even the entire lifetime, since most of my floppy based games are long since gone, along with a few of the CD based ones. The DVD ones are still all intact, though, along with the ones I have through digital distribution. Anyway, if I were to list every game I'd ever played, regardless of whether I ever owned it or not, said list would easily be somewhere in the thousands. I could sit here all day trying to remember what games I'd played, and still leave a significant percentage of them out. It's kind of odd to me that there are gamers on this site who don't have lists that long; I mean, think about it, how many movies has the average movie buff seen in their lifetime? How many books has a lit major read? I doubt even they could give you an accurate estimate, and it's the same with gamers.

I could never come close to naming every game I played.

If I had some sort of list of every game ever, along with many screenshots and such, I might be able to eventually compile a nearly accurate list. Because I simply don't remember a lot of games I've played, especially NES and SNES games.

Even limited to this generation, I'd need to slowly crawl through a list of ALL the games. That would take longer than I'm willing to spend on this exercise.

Put me down as the majority, ive been gaming since before the NES on game and watch style handhelds and as someone who rented out 2-3 and played games in the arcades plus emulators on the PC It would take me days to make a list

Some folk have WAY too much time on their hands :)

I'm 31 and picked up my very first joystick in 1985.

I've played, quite literally, thousands of games.

I am not listing them all. I doubt I could remember them all.

I couldn't list them all if I tried. I remember playing Barbarian on my Amiga almost 20 years ago, and Arkanoid, Outrun on C64, Pacman on the BBC Micro and Jet Set Willy on the Amstrad. The number will be in the hundreds and I couldn't remember them all if I tried. Instead, I'll list the most iconic, standout games for me from each generation I played on:

Arcade - Afterburner, Daytona, Street Fighter II, Double Dragon, Final Fight, Alien Storm.
Amiga - Barbarian, Goblins, Populous, Megalomania, Speedball II, Zak MacKraken, Moria, Monkey Island 1 & 2, Syndicate, Bard's Tale II, Golden Axe, Rainbow Island, Cadaver, Xenon II (Bomb the Bass!).
Mastersystem - Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Megadrive - Streets of Rage, Sonic, Shadowrun (one of my favourite ever RPGs), Robocod
SNES - Mario World, Pilotwings, Super Street Fighter II (possibly the greatest game in its class, of all time).
N64 - Goldeneye (I still remember how critically acclaimed it was, how hard it was to find and when I finally got my copy!), Perfect Dark, Turok (I. AM. TUUURRRRROK!), Mario Kart 64.
Gamecube - ResiEvil 4, Super Monkey Ball
XBox - Beyond Good and Evil, Deathrow (the closest modern equivalent to Speedball II), Fusion Frenzy (Twisted System!), Dynasty Warriors V, KotOR, JE, The Bard's Tale, Bloodrayne1 & 2, PoP trilogy, Rainbow Six III, GTA: Vice City, Many more
360 - Forza 2, Borderlands, Dead Space, Mass Effect, The Saboteur (a mind-blowingly good, one-of-a-kind game), Test Drive Unlimited, Splinter Cell: Conviction (multiplayer).
PC - BG2, Deus Ex, NWN 1 & 2, KotOR2, Morrowind, Bioshock, Tron 2.0, Jedi Knight 2, Max Payne, Grim Fandango, AvP2, Thief, Hitman 3, X2, VTM Bloodlines, Portal, Unreal Tournament.

There are hundreds more I've played over two decades, but the above are the highlights of the different platforms and generations, the games that I'll remember as stand-out. Some came close to going on the list, but I have to draw the line somewhere.

I'm going to put this here. My response to the How many RPGs have you played from a while back. That is both not all of the RPGs I've played (my brain isn't a computer) and only a fraction of the games I've played.

There's no way. I have 200 games in my Steam library alone, and that doesn't even scratch the surface of all the stuff I've played over the years.
