There will be a massively underrated, yet massively talented artist.

A musician with the right to actually call him/herself, ya' know, an artist.

They don't regurgitate old themes and lyrics to familiar beats, and listening to their work can be both mentally stimulating, and fun. They go beyond catchy, and into the world of psychological addiction.

Everyone knows of such artists, and, that said, why not share them?

My entry is a semi-famous Rapper/Hip-hop artist called 'Busdriver'.

If you cringed at the mention of Rap or Hip-hop, then don't. He's got a lot more to talk about than just drugs, sex, killing, and growing up in the streets of .

It also doesn't hurt that he's insanely catchy. Sometimes hard to understand though, so listen carefully.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and add a sample if you can, please.

That's a very killer track I shall have to investigate this Busdriver some more! i've only recently been getting into rap and hip-hop but I love this kind of stuff, really spine shivering rap with big beats.

Two musicians I absolutely adore are buckethead:

And Steve Vai:

Being a guitarist they are such a huge inspiration and the songs just get better with each listening.

Ah yes, unappreciated artists.
My favourite band, Devil Sold His Soul, are one such a case, in my opinion.
Mind you, it's an acquired sound. Have a listen.
You'll also be pleased to know they're a great bunch of guys; had the pleasure to talk with them a number of times.

You posting Busdriver means you have my respect for ever. Now...

God there are quite a few I could suggest, but can I name two? I'd either say:

Canibus, because he's created scores of content that just appeals to me. He was a very introverted child who did nothing but read and study, and it practically bleeds throughout his lyrics. If nothing else, you can tell he is an intelligent man.

As for the second...watch this space?

Was not expecting that screaminess after the quite subdued intro, instant hair standing on end and headbanging goodness. Kudos to you good sir.

My hidden band of the day is Silent descent, a trance metal band that was unsigned the last time I checked but their music is catchy and got me hooked.

Now would be the time that youtube would be down for me so I'll edit some videos in when youtube decides to be a team player.

edit. now that youtube decided to be a team player here is an example of their music.
