I had to switch to a windows 7 when my computer broke a while back (A million hardware problems such as a warped heat sink, missing keys, broken recharger, but not a single software one.) so I don't exactly remember, there was a youtube video that explains it pretty well, let me find it...AlexLoxate said:I've used Vista since 2007 and I've never had the need to reinstall it. However the slowdown you mentioned are a thing that I'm experiencing as well. Would you be kind to provide me with instructions on how to fix this issue?Kakashi on crack said:I actually don't dislike windows vista...
the thing is, they put in a million uneeded programs that are CONSTANTLY active, slowing down the system, along with the amount of memory the OS takes up.
The quick fix to make it work great (as I did) is to simply get rid of the stuff you don't need before you install all your stuff on it.![]()
This one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYZslFrFUcs&feature=related (It has a second list after the first list, also, if you use remote access, or host servers, etc. don't undo some of the things.)
EDIT: BTW, windows 7 I've concluded is -NOT- a better OS, its simply dumbed down a good bit with a lot of features unnaccesable. I.E. its a system for computer illiterates.
