Well, people around me are falling sick with snorty slimy boogery flu, so last night I threw two chicken carcasses in a pan, added some leeks, an onion, half a celeriac, some parsley and all my left over coriander roots, a carrot, plenty of garlic, a nice knob of ginger, two hot peppers, a wee bit of oil, some cloves, some pepper corns and boiled it up.
So, today, I got me a splendid instant flu prevention instant chicken soup. Heat it up, add a dash of cognac (not a problem if you're not an alcoholic or otherwise culturally challenged), feel healthy, strong, immune and well ahead of the lazy sick bunch.

Since I'm not actually sick, I threw a chicken drumstick in for the first bowl, and in the second bowl I'll be adding some noodles, an egg and some home-made, melt-in-your-mouth Chashu I prepared a while ago.
